I am a certified mountain guide, trained at the Kyrgyz Mountain Guide Association (KMGA). I have been working as a mountain guide since 2000. I have more than 20 summit ascents with clients on 7000 m mountains. I have been skiing for all my life. I completed education at Ski Instructor School (NRLI) on the ISIA system. I have experience in organising and conduction of ski tour programs on the territory of Kyrgyzstan for more than 10 years, I have also worked as a guide in heli-ski programs. I skied from many peaks in the territory of Kyrgyzstan, one of the famous is Lenin peak (7134 m), Korona peak (4860 m), and also skied north side of Elbrus Peak (5621 m) in Caucasus.

In addition to ski tours and mountaineering, I organize trekking programs and jeep tours.

Enjoy off-piste skiing across the Tian Shan mountains, on this 6-day ski tour in the **Issyk Kul Lake**, Kyrgyzstan.

In the Tian Shan mountain range is located the **Issyk Kul Lake**: the Pearl of Kyrgyzstan. Surrounded by incredible snow-covered peaks and an extraordinary natural beauty, it is the second biggest mountain lake in the world. It has 180 kilometers in length and 70 in width.

This **6-day trip** will start in **Bishkek**. This is the capital and the most populated city in Kyrgyzstan. Then we’ll go to **Karakol**, a city located near the Issyk Kul Lake. From this point, we’ll drive to the ski area every day. Please check out the itinerary at the bottom of the page for more details.

This trip allows participants to take routes with different levels of difficulty. There is a great variety of ski areas available for you. However, it is important to have some **prior skiing experience** and a **very good fitness level**. Take into account that there will be an elevation gain of 1,300 meters.

We will meet at the Manas airport in Bishkek and drive to Karakol (6-7 hours). We’ll have lunch on the way. We’ll meet up in a guesthouse and have a short talk about snow conditions and avalanche risk. Then we’ll have dinner there.

The **Suusamyr Valley** is located in the **Chuy Region** inside the **Tian Shan** mountain range in **Kyrgyzstan**. It is about **2,000 to 2,500 meters** above sea level and has a width of **3 to 5 kilometers**. The valley is full of magnificent mountains and it is the perfect place for skiing.

**The starting point of our trip will be Bishkek** and from there we will drive to the **Too-Ashu ski resort**. This will be the starting spot for our ascents and descents around the valley. Here you can enjoy **7 kilometers of slopes** and an **altitude difference of about 1,000 meters**. The main ridges of the winter sports area are the **Kyrgyz** and the **Suusamyr Too**.

During the tour, you will find a **wide variety of ascents and descents**. In general, a **medium level of experience** is required. Take into account that the guides can make changes in the tour depending on the snow conditions and group level. Remember that you can arrange one day off to do any other activity that you like.

Located in the Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan, Arslanbob is situated on the southwestern slopes of the Fergana Range (part of the Tien Shan mountains), creating the perfect weather for our splitboarding adventure.

By exploring Arslanbob and its surroundings, skiers and snowboarders will discover the world’s largest natural walnut forest. It has established itself as a hiking area and is now starting to develop as a winter sports area as well. From 1500 to 2000 meters above sea level, participants will find the best slopes with high-quality snow. 

Another of this trips highlights, will be to ride down the slopes of Boobash-Ata Mountain (4430m) and enjoy the best landscapes that Arslanbob has to offer. The main attraction in Osh city is the Sacred Mountain Sulaiman-Too, where you can find different sanctuaries and ancient caves with petroglyphs in it!. You can also visit the History Museum or the Asian Market and get a taste of the Asian food before you leave.
