I started working as a full time climbing instructor in 2011, and since then I haven't looked back. I love being in the wild nature, and I believe I have the best job in the world!

During the winter months, I live in Rjukan, the most fabulous place for ice climbing. You have to see it to believe how great this place is! Book me for a course or guided climbing in this ice paradise.

I also travel a lot for climbing and guiding. Places that I return to over and over again are Kalymnos and Mallorca.

It was a great experience. I learned a lot and I feel surprised on how much I progressed in 2 days, starting from zero. The guide was always looking at us to be safe and to correct us. Just to improve, having the meeting point and transportation details with more advance, not the previous day of my flight. I was feeling uncertain that where to go.5

If you want to truly learn how to ice climb, Jørn is the man! There is a good amount of theory involved, so don’t expect to run out and hit the ice first thing. You will come away with a lot of knowledge and a hunger to climb more ice 🧊 5
Our guide was very knowledgeable, patient and took the time to help us improve and learn more about the techniques needed for ice climbing. Despite the lack of ice throughout Rjukan this winter, he managed to find a good area for us to climb - great experience 5

Jorn was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the local area and all the ice climbing spots. He was great at teaching the basics and then let us loose. He then tweaked our techniques and improved us loads. Very impressed.
