**The 3 Salazes are three continuous rocky peaks located in the Piton des Neiges Massif**. The Salazes are seen from the center of Cilaos village in **Reunion Island**. They have 2132 meters high and offers a magnificent ascent.

This point is **famous because it offers one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Cilaos and Mafate.** It is a varied terrain, sometimes really impressive. Besides this, this is not a very technical climb… however it’s necessary to have a good physical condition.

I propose a **1 day guided program during while we will combine two main activities to reach to Salazes: walk and climb**. Firstly, we will reach the central Salaze from where we will **cross until the first peak by a Tyrolean**. Finally, we descend for two hours while enjoying amazing views.

Come and join me for a day of **Guided Canyoning** on the beautiful **Reunion Island**.

**Reunion Island** is famous for its **Canyons**. There are so many that it would be impossible to see them all in one visit. Because of the variety of canyons on the island, it is also easy to pick and choose which ones to explore based on your skill level.

For Beginners, there are **3 amazing canyons** to choose from: The **Riviere des Roches Canyon**, **Sainte Suzanne Canyon** and the **Langevin Canyon**. Each canyon offers its own adventure, and has its own charms. But what all three canyons have in common is that no canyoning experience is necessary to enjoy them. None at all.

The **Riviere des Roches Canyon** offers more of a **Canyon Hiking**. Mainly because there are few vertical obstacles to worry about. Also, any **Jumps** and **Slides** you do encounter are entirely optional. You don't have to do anything you don't want to. You can also enjoy this activity with little to no rope usage as well. So if you just want to walk through this beautiful canyon and enjoy the sites, this trip will be perfect for you.

For those people more interested in the thrill of **Canyoning** but have no prior experience, look no further than **Sainte Suzanne** and **Langevin**. These canyons are filled with **small Abseils**, **Slides**, **Jumps** and **Tyroleans**, all of which are optional. Thus making these canyons perfect for the whole family.

Join me for a day of adventure climbing the **Piton de Sucre** on **Reunion Island**.

Made entirely of **Volcanic Rock**, just like the entire island, the **Piton de Sucre** offers a truly unique climbing experience. When you reach the summit you will be able to see the **Cilaos Cirque**. The **Cilaos** is a town and commune inside of a massive _caldera_ at an altitude of **1,214m**. There is a fascinating and tragic historical story within the **Cilaos** that is well worth reading about. Thus adding to the mystique of gazing at it from above.

The climb up the **Piton de Sucre** has some difficult moments. Being a multi-pitch ascent, there are several different **300 meter** long routes of various grades. So some climbing experience is needed, from **French Grade 5 in top rope**. And you should be in good physical condition as well. However, this trip is still open to people as young as **10 years of age**, making it a great trip for the whole family.

Join me to the summit of the **Piton des Neiges (3,070m)**.

The top of this massive **Volcano** is the highest point on **Reunion Island.** It is also the highest peak in all of the islands in the **Indian Ocean**. Hence, why reaching the summit is such an incredible experience, and one that you will remember for the rest of your life.

This adventure takes 1 1/2 day.

We will make our way to the top of the **Piton des Neiges** by way of the **Gros Morne Edge**. From this mighty edge, you will be able to see the entire island. During the trek, we will also make our way through a special area full of protected and exotic birds called the _**Petrels de Barreau**_. Finally, after reaching the top of the **Piton des Neiges**, you will be able to see the magical town and commune of **Cilaos Cirque**.

**No climbing experience** is necessary for this trip. However, you should be in **good physical condition** because the route is very long. But with every step you take you will get closer to one of the greatest views you will ever see.

### Come climb Piton Maido and enjoy magnificent views of the famous Cirque de Mafate in Reunion Island!

This 2170-meter needle is right at the center of the **Cirque de Mafate**. Less popular than nearby **Piton de la Fournaise**, Piton Maido offers different routes available to climbers of all levels. Once at the top, the magnificent views of the mountains and the deep blue sea as a backdrop will leave you breathless.

I offer two different alternatives to climb Piton Maido. Intermediate climbers can choose to ascend using the "Fil du rasoir" route, while beginners should opt for the "Clin d'oeil au defi" route. This last option is accessible to anybody with an average physical condition.

La Reunion Island is located **in the Indian Ocean, east of Madagascar**. It is an overseas department of France. It is 63 kilometers long and 45 kilometers wide. With its volcanoes and beautiful and unique beaches, La Reunion is a major tourist attraction in this corner of the world.

The **Trou Blanc canyon** is **La Reunion** Island's star canyon. This canyoning experience will be nothing like the ones you've had in the past!

Because it is rather long and more aquatic than most, you need to be in a very good physical condition. It is not for beginners!

Located in the **Cirque de Salazie**, close to the **Piton des Neiges** (La Reunion's most famous mountain), a short 30-minute walk takes us to the river where the canyon is born. The first part of the descent takes place within a particularly incised gorge. After that, the canyon opens up but the scenery remains magnificent.

The abundance of slides and jumps make this canyoning experience a unique one! And with names like these — "Raclette", "Tim", "Washing Machine", "Vavavoum" — you'll remember the Trou Blanc slides for years to come!

Come and join me on a canyoning expedition through the world famous **Trou de Fer Canyon** on **Reunion Island**.

There are many amazing canyons throughout the volcanic **Reunion Island** from the **Trous Blanc** and **Bras Rouge** to **Fleur Jaune**. However, the **Trou de Fer** is the most famous.

This enormous wonder of **Reunion Island** is also one of its greatest, most challenging treks. Only for the most adventurous, conquering the **Trou de Fer** is physically and technically difficult. You will need **prior, proven canyoning experience**. But, the rewards you will receive as a result are incalculable. From the views you will see, to the feeling of glory you will experience, I promise this tough, **2-day trip** will be more than worth it.

For the first day of this trek you will be descending through the mighty canyon. There will be several **high abseils.** After resting in an overnight **Bivouac**, we will cross an incredible gorge named **The Corridor**, that will surely leave you breathless. 

Because there are so many beautiful canyons found throughout the island. I also offer canyoning expeditions for people with no previous canyoning experience. No matter what level of experience you have, there is a canyon adventure for you here.

You can enjoy the challenge of **Dudu Inf**, a beautiful canyon surrounded by wildlife and highlighted by an incredible **95 meter spider silk abseil.** Or you can take on **Takamaka**, an aquatic, vertical hybrid canyon that is highlighted by a natural **Wave Pool** found in the **Mini Trou de Fer abseil**.
