Description

Go from the forests to the high mountain terrain in Patagonia and live an unforgettable experience on this 2-day hiking traverse to Pilquitrón, in El Bolsón.

On this 2-day program, I invite you to discover an iconic mountain in the Andes: Pilquitrón. In the native Mapuche language, Pilquitrón means ‘mountain hanging in the clouds’.

On this program, we will go on an exciting expedition through the Nahuel Pan waterfall and reach the edge of the mountain. Then, walking south, we will find the Huemul summit and descend to the refuge where we will spend the night. On the following day, we will reach the summit and then descend to El Bolsón.

Please, take a look at the itinerary below for a detailed description of each day. As for the difficulty, keep in mind that it is important to be in good physical shape for this program.

So, would you like to have fun in the mountains and admire breathtaking panoramic views of varied landscapes? Then all you need to do is send the request and book your place on this program.

I also lead a 3-day trek to Cerro Lindo in El Bolsón. Check it out!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
