Description

Nevado Pisco, in the central part of the Cordillera Blanca, is one of the most famous mountains in Perú. If you want to live an unforgettable 3-day alpine adventure and reach its summit, then this trip is for you. Join me!

Nevado Pisco (5752m), which is about 60 km north of Huaraz, was first climbed in 1951. Due to its spectacular views and its easy approach, it is one of the most frequented destinations in the Peruvian Andes. It owes its name to the famous Peruvian drink.

On this 3-day mountaineering tour, we will get to the top of this impressive mountain after crossing cultivated areas, fruit forests, beautiful turquoise lagoons, and amazing glaciers. Then, from the summit of Nevado Pisco, the balcony of the Cordillera Blanca, we will enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountains of Huascarán, Alpamayo and Chacrajaru, among others. Additionally, sleeping in mountain camps will make this experience a real alpine adventure!

The ascent involves mostly walking  up to 35 degrees on snowy slopes. However, we will need harness and crampons to climb a 100m steep ice section. It is also important to have a good fitness level. Get readyfor 3 to 7 hours of hiking and climbing per day!

So, if you are up for this 3-day mountaineering tour in the Cordillera Blanca, please contact me. Let’s get to the top of Nevado Pisco!

We can also climb other stunning Peruvian peaks. Check out my Vallunaraju and my Yanapaccha trips!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
