Description

The Cascade Range is famous for its beauty and Broken Top is one of the less explored mountains of the region well-worth discovering. It is a great location for ski enthusiasts and mountaineers as it presents a variety of challenges. On this 3-day ski and mountaineering camp, we get to see discover the beautiful Broken Top and develop new skills!

One of the reasons Broken Top is so interesting is that it’s a volcano. This means that its terrain is unique. And, at the peak we can find the Bend and Crook glaciers. This combination of geographical situations is ideal for our camp. Why? Because we will be able to explore different mountaineering challenges that depend on weather and terrain. On this 3-day camp we will explore how to access difficult spots such as steep sided passages. We will also learn to work with crampons, ice axes and other equipment, including ropes. We will learn how to make an anchor, how to belay and how to rappel.

The great thing is you only need some ski touring experience to sign up, and a good fitness level. The rest, you will acquire with us. Additionally, you will be able to enjoy one of the most beautiful and less explored mountains in the Cascades while you have fun, of course!

Are you ready to join us on this 3-day ski touring and mountaineering camp? Then book your place now and make sure you don’t miss out on the chance to improve your mountaineering skills this spring!

Ended up booking a one-night-and-one-day hike summiting Mt Shasta because Mt Rainier was booked out.

I really loved it. Intro to rock climbing was an amazing experience. Explore-share team were so helpful in the process. The trip that I chose in the first place was not available and they managed to find alternatives and offer me the best possible solution in that situation. In the end I had a wonderful day and could not be happier!

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

It would have been helpful to know it was suppose to be a Matterhorn prep course. The goals of the group were a little different.
