Description

Have you ever wanted to explore the unique Mount Olympus? This 3-day program is a chance you can’t miss to discover one of Greece’s most famous spots!

Located at an altitude of 2,918 meters above sea level, Mount Olympus is the tallest mountain in Greece. The peak known for being the home of the gods in Greek mythology is a wonderful place to enjoy an outdoor activity and discover its stunning vegetation.

I invite you to come with me and explore this beautiful area. During these 3 days, we’ll enjoy hiking around the national park surrounding the mountain and reach its summit. On our walk, we’ll go through the beautiful woods and find amazing spots such as waterfalls and meadows.

Please, consider that this is a private trip, so you can arrange to come with your family or friends. Finally, you don’t need to have prior experience to join this tour, but a good level of fitness is very important.

Does this adventure in Mount Olympus sound exciting? Then do not hesitate to send the request and book your place. I’ll be glad to have you on this program!

I also offer a 1-day hike to Mount Parnitha, near Athens. Check it out here!

Mountain Guide

I have been climbing with passion since the age of 14 when I started rock climbing, and (in my 20's) I became a full-time mountain guide. Even though climbing first began only as a hobby, it later led me to a professional Mountain Guide title.

I am a Greek certified Mountain Guide HFMC, and an IFMGA/UIAGM/IVBV Mountain Guide, which is the highest internationally recognized mountain guiding certification. I am also a board member of the Hellenic Mountain Guide Association and a member of the Austria Guides Association (section Vorarlberg).

I work together with a group of certified guides, so If I am not available to guide you, one of the experienced guides in my team will be your guide.

In the last 20 years, I have accomplished many expeditions all over the world from Denali in Alaska to Damavand Iran, climbing or guiding and skitouring.

I love the mountains as well as the sea. I'm a passionate sailor and a skipper, also organizing climbing and sailing trips in the Aegean Sea.

Now I am currently studying Marketing and Management at EAP University.
I live between my birthplace Litochoro, the village at the foot of Mt. Olympus Greece, and Chamonix France.
You can find me guiding between Mt. Olympus and Chamonix Mont-Blanc, ski touring the Haute Route in the Alps, to summiting Mt Elbrus in Caucasus or sailing and climbing on the Greek islands.

I love to work with groups in new destinations and make great pictures along the way.

Amazing site. Helped but me in touch with Babis Marinidis. Fantastic mountain guide, super helpful and attentive to needs. Made my climbing of Mt. Olympus so much fun. Could not recommend Explore-share or Babis more!

Good trip, but Babis did not allow for his perhaps unusual clients. He was too keen to do everything at super-fast speed, and get to the refuges early. A slower pace would have suited us better. Also he did not brief us adequately on what to expect, and give advice on facilities and rules of the refuges.
