  • An amazing experience to the highest peak of the mythical Mount Olympus.
  • Spectacular views from the rooftop of Greece.
  • Overall an alternative and 'easier' experience to the Olympus summit.

This trip takes you to Mytikas (2918m), the highest summit on the Olympus massif in just 1-day. It is specially designed for those that may lack the time to carry out the traditional 2-day trip with an overnight stay in a refuge and is also an ‘easier’ experience to the summit.

This trip involves the use of a 4x4 vehicle, which will take us through a dirt road high up to Chrystakis emergency refuge at an elevation of 2550m. From the refuge, we will start our hike on an easy trail, which will take us in approximately 1 hour to the summits of Skolio and Skala. Once we arrive at Skala peak (2875m), we will put on our gear to tackle the final stretch of our ascent to Mytikas (2918m) (1h – 1.5h). Skala peak is the starting point of the popular Kakoskala trail (one of the two available routes to the summit). After enjoying the view from the summit, we will return via the same route.

Keep in mind that although this tour welcomes mountain climbing beginners, and that we will follow a relatively easy route to the Mytikas summit, you should have an average fitness level and be capable to trek/walk for 3-4 hours without any problems. Furthermore, you should not be afraid of heights, or have any other known health problems (particularly related to the myoskeletal system).

If you would like to join this exciting adventure to the Mytikas summit, then please send your booking request and we can start making arrangements together!

Why this is called 'EASY' ??

This particular tour to the summit is designed specifically for those that may have only 1 day available in their schedule and want to experience the summit of Olympus! For this tour, a big part of the climb is achieved by a 4X4 vehicle, so the overall physical effort required from participants is kept at low level.

What people are saying about Stavros

What an amazing trip. It was truly an experience I will never forget and always cherish. The whole trip went exactly according to the itinerary. Stavros is not only very professional but also a wonderful person to spend time with. I had never climbed a mountain before and Stavros made me feel very safe and his instructions were always clear and to the point. I learned a lot from the experience and will without a doubt do it again. Mt Olympus is simply sublime. It is a challenge to make it to Mytikas but with Stavros' guidance it is attainable and well worth the sore legs after. Thank you so much!!!!

Best experience - Stavros was detailed, set expectations, and provided a lot of support. Thank you!

Stavros was amazing! We are so thankful that he was our guide. He knew exactly what to say and do in every situation. He calmed us down when we were anxious/scared, encouraged us through every step and instructed us to the summit. He was great company and an exceptional guide!

Stavros is a very safety conscious guide. We hiked on a day with very strong winds and snow on the trail. Stavros ensured that we were safe throughout.

The trip was amazing and Stavros Chasapidis was very knowledgeable and a good guide. He was extremely responsive over whatsapp and answered questions I had months in advance of the trip. Explore-Share's website was complicated to navigate and it was tricky to find trip information.
