Description

This 3-day Paso de las nubes hiking traverse will take you through a beautiful landscape and over the Alerce Glacier.

The Paso de las nubes is a mountain pass located at 1335 meters and it connects two mountain huts in the Mount Tronador (3491 m), the highest mountain in the area.

And this 3-day program can be started from either one of the sides. But the most popular route is to start from Pampa Linda and end the trip with a beautiful boat ride in the Nahuel Huapi lake.

This way we’ll start the trip hiking to Otto Mailing Mountain hut. The next day we’ll gear up to cross the Alerce Glacier with crampons and tied up to each other with ropes. This is an amazing walk with beautiful views of the surroundings. And after the glacier we’ll continue hiking to the Agostino Rocca mountain hut, where we’ll spend the second night.

The third day is a special one, because after an easy hike down we’ll take a boat to cross the Frias lake, which is known for its light green colour. Then we’ll take a small bus ride to Blest Port, where we’ll take a ferry through the Nahuel Huapi lake back to Bariloche.

This 3-day Paso de las nubes hiking traverse is a great way to discover these beautiful mountains and lakes. Send me a request now and we’ll start organizing your trip!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
