Join us on an exciting journey to the striking Baranie rohy at 2526 m in the High Tatras! Our adventure begins at Hrebienok (1280 m) in Starý Smokovec, where we'll set off to explore a series of stunning peaks and saddles. Along the way, you can enjoy a well-deserved stop at New Zámkovsky Cottage (1450 m) before wandering through the charming Small Cold Valley to reach Téry's Cottage (2015 m).
After a short, refreshing break, we'll ascend to Baranie Saddle (2393 m) and then venture along the ridge towards the corners – an hour-long trek that rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views. Our journey continues slightly south of the main ridge to the renowned Lomnický Peak, which beautifully separates the Small Cold Valley from the Large Ice Valley and opens up towards the Green Lake Valley. From the summit, you'll be treated to exceptional views of both the central and eastern Tatras.
For our descent, we return to Baranie Saddle and Téry's Cottage, and then enjoy an easy walk back down to Hrebienok. Please note, access to the peak is available only when accompanied by a mountain guide or leader.
We invite you to experience this unforgettable trek with us and create lasting memories amid the stunning beauty of the High Tatras!

Mountain Leader
I'm a UIMLA mountain leader and national tourist guide (for cultural and historical heritage trips).
I was born in Poprad in 1969. From my early childhood, I often looked out my bedroom window into the distance of the picturesque High Tatras, which fascinated me even then. In high school I started going with my friends to a small climbing "expedition" on the surrounding rocks, and later to the High Tatras. Mostly I went with a friend whose father was a member of the Mountain Rescue Service. During my studies at Comenius University in Bratislava, I loved coming back to the mountains.
In 1999 I started actively volunteering paramedic of the Tatra Mountain Rescue Service, and then I was hired there.
Precisely because of my relationship with the mountains I began working as a tourist guide with a focus on mountain areas.
Since 1998 I accompany tourists from around the world to the mountains and surrounding towns.
In 2011 I got certified as mountain leader.
Besides, I have been working as a member of the Council of the Slovak Association of mountain Leaders since it was established in 2011.

Marcel was an excellent guide who not only information about the hike but also about wildlife, Slovakia and their culture! We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and he even rescued our camera (which I was prepared to leave and take it as a loss) from the gorge! Amazing recovery!

The best trip of our lives! It was our first time on a Via Ferrata and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Marcel. First of all, we felt completely safe, and second, we spent a wonderful day with an amazing person with whom we could freely talk in our native language (we highly recommend him to all Poles looking for a mountain guide!). On top of that, for the very first time we have beautiful photos together from such an adventure — Marcel made sure we had this keepsake by taking those incredible shots himself! Truly a priceless experience, and without a doubt, when we want to come back and try something new, we’ll reach out to Marcel again to share another mountain adventure.

Great host with very good communication (perfect spoken English and arrangements/tips) around the trip) . Takes care of you as a solo (tourist) hiker.
Successful, safe and educational hike up and down Mt Rysy from Slovakian side. Provided detailed information on plants, rocks, animals and history of Slovakia. Adjusted pace but kept it challenging. Very good English.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
