Description

On this 1-day hike to the Muses Plateau (2650m), we will take the less explored Gomarostalos trail from Prionia (1100m) and enjoy unique views of the Zeus Throne as well as of Mytikas.

The Gomarostalos trail is actually the most direct to the Muses Plateau, but it is also harder than the usual trails people take as it is quite steep. However, it is in excellent conditions and goes through a beautiful pine forest. Towards the end, near the Muses Plateau, some fun rock scrambling adds a bit of excitement to the tour.

The full hike is around 16 km long, with an ascent of 1680m. The duration of the hike is between 5 to 8 hours. A good fitness level and endurance is required to join this tour, and ideally it should be done in around six hours, although we can pace it a bit slower if necessary.
