The Cascade Mountains are ingrained in the evergreen culture of Washington State and its wilderness. With Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens in the area, its tough to go unnoticed. The peaks to the north of these two giants, however, offer similar thrills and beauty with a fraction of the crowds. From Baker to Shuksan, these Cascades offer the best of both worlds: access and notoriety blended with remote serenity and solitude.
The Cascades provide a true wild mountainside for those who seek out its rugged terrain. The snow is top quality and the landscape features the classic treasure trove of flora and fauna that this corner of the country is known for. Be on the lookout for bears and eagles, and peer out over the forests absorbing the countryside. With big mountain climbs and immense glaciers, you will have a plethora of lines and routes to improve your mountaineering abilities.
Your program puts you in the center of all this beauty. With many possible objectives, you can decide which features are most important for an alpine trip and tailor your mountaineering program around your needs. Mt. Shuksan contains an array of mixed climbing routes to hone your ice, snow, and rock climbing skills. Washington Pass is full of wonderful alpine rock climbing routes that you are unlikely to find anywhere else in the United States. And Mt. Baker is just a more remote version of the other big-name mountains.
You can expect to cover mountaineering techniques such as navigation, glacier travel, equipment uses and application, mixed climbing, and so much more. This is a perfect program for improving your climbing skills and preparing for a more ambitious climb. All of this can be reached with a short drive from Seattle.
This program does possess some challenging aspects, so a reasonable level of fitness and experience is required. Depending on your program, you should have both the physical and mental endurance to handle a mountaineering trip on this terrain.
I will make sure your program is safe, fulfilling, and an all-around great time. It is always my pleasure to provide an enriching experience in the Cascades, so expect to enjoy this majestic range like a local.
Book a Cascade Mountain program NOW and take your mountaineering skills to the next level in the magic of Washington State!
You can also try a more ambitious five-day ski touring program at Thompson Pass in Alaska! Or we can explore the Rocky Mountains for our alpine climbing program!

I am the owner of Lotus Alpine Adventures and have a long career in the guiding industry. I started out working in Outdoor Education in Colorado, where I also received a degree in Outdoor Education from Ithaca College.
From 2007 to 2014, I owned and operated Crested Butte Mountain Guides. Throughout those years, I also worked through the AMGA training curriculum and eventually became the 95th American to obtain IFMGA certification, the most rigorous international certification available in the industry.
Throughout my career, I have worked for and built partnerships with many of the main mountain guiding agencies in the US and it is thanks to these partnerships that Lotus Alpine Adventures can now offer programs in very varied spots across the US, including: Crested Butte, Boulder and Eldorado Canyon in Colorado; Moab and Castle Valley in Utah; Red Rocks in Nevada; Valdez in Alaska; Jackson Hole in Wyoming; and the Cascades of Washington.
All of my experience and expertise ultimately results in a truly professional guiding service and a great trip experience for you and your group, regardless of your level or activity.
The world´s mountain ranges are not only our playground but also our office and our classroom. Let us guide you and share with you some truly unforgettable moments!

I had a very good experience booking the hike through Explore-Share. Communication with the team was prompt and clear and the booking process was seamless. The trip itself was also just perfect. Uroš was a fantastic guide, highly skilled and talented. The hike felt safe at all times, even on more exposed routes, thanks to him. He was always up to date on the weather forecast and planned the days around it, checked the conditions on the route ahead of me, if needed, discussed and adapted the routes to my level and always made sure I was safe and comfortable. I highly recommend him, as well as Explore-Share.

Explore Share is a really usefull website that has a great overview of reviewed guides for a (in our case) hiking/climbing trip. During the booking I got assigned an assistent for Explore Share that helped solve questions that I might have. Great customer service, and I will come back again.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned a lot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!

It's the 2nd time we have been booking with Explore-Share. The booking was super easy and both Explore-Share and the guide were fast in their responses. We did rafting as a family with 3 kids for the first time in Slovenia. The guide (José) was super nice. He was doing everything he could to make everyone at ease with rafting (he gave clear explanations), have a great team spirit (we were joined by 2 other girls) and have a good time. We had lots of fun and the nature there is so beautiful. Thank you Explore-share and Soca splash for the great afternoon! I would recommend this activity to anyone without a doubt. My kids immediately told me they want to do rafting again soon !"
