Prior to our trip, we will meet up for a briefing session in order to go over details of the trip and equipment check

Once we're all set, we'll transfer towards the bridge in Río Eléctrico where we will begin with a two-hour trek to the Piedra del Fraile refuge. My name is Martin and people call me “Jimmy”. I live in the Chaltén where I work as a mountain guide. In Patagonia, I ascended the west face of Cerro Torre, “vía Ragnni di Lecco”; the Fitz Roy and the Poincenot needle. I have also climbed high mountains in the north of Argentina and Peru.
I have been a trekking guide since 2001 and UIAGM mountain guide since 2008. My wife is mountain guide too, and we organise together expeditions and traverses of the Southern Patagonian Icefield.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
