Description

The proposal I bring today consists in a 1-day trek, departing and returning to the city of San Salvador de Jujuy.

We will visit the Calilegua National Park, located 320 km from the capital of Jujuy. I usually offer this one-day hiking tour but I can also extend the duration if you wish. It will be a fantastic adventure, walking along the trails of the Calilegua National Park, starting at Monte Serrano and ending at the incredible Selva Montana.

We will leave early in the morning to take advantage of the time. We will arrive around 10:00 am to the park. Here the park ranger will receive us in order to register our entrance and give visitors a brochure with interesting information. So, the plan of the day will be to cross different paths of different difficulty, depending on the group.

There are several simple and short trails with low difficulty, such as the Momota and La Herradura trails. Both begin at the Aguas Negras campsite. On the other hand, there are other more sustained ways, like La Lagunita. We can also follow the Tataupá route that descends to the river.

If those walks were enough for your physical level, we will follow the circuit by vehicle. We will pass through places with incredible panoramic views of the jungle. Finally, we will arrive at the Mesada de las Colmenas, where there is another park ranger.

At midday we will have our box lunch and approximately at 15:00 we will start the return to the city of Jujuy by the same way.

If you want to know more details about rates and booking, please get in touch with me. I will answer you as soon as possible so we can plan this trekking adventure in the Calilegua National Park together!

    Margaret

I hired David Torres for a full-day mountain hike at least 2 months in advance. Without explanation or warning, he sent in his place a man with a recently broken ankle who uses a cane to walk! My entire day of "hiking" was a 3k slow walk on a flat trail. I have attempted to get a refund, but the company has refused to communicate with me. The replacement guide told me David had another trip at the same time as mine, and chose the other, more lucrative, trip.
