Description

Let's embark on an unforgettable adventure to Osorno Volcano, one of the most iconic natural landmarks in the Lagos region and Southern Chile

Discover and thoroughly explore its uniquely conical shape along with its astounding 2,652 meters (8,700 feet) of altitude, on an incredible climbing experience.

Begin your journey in Puerto Varas, where we'll travel to the Teski Refuge to organize our equipment and leave everything ready for an early morning start the next day.

As the sun rises, we'll climb up this snow-capped natural wonder on an exhilirating 5-hour climb. From the summit, we'll be able to see several of the lakes surrounding Osorno, including Llanquihue and Todos Los Santos, as well as several volcanoes and surrounding mountains.

After enjoying the summit, we will begin the descent. Back at the hut, we will take a short break to change clothes and organize our gear before returning to Puerto Varas for a well-deserved rest.

This trip is open to all fitness levels, but those in better shape will have a more enjoyable experience. It will last for 8-9 hours, and basic ice axe and crampon skills are not required.

Eduardo did an excellent job guiding us on backcountry tours in the Farellones area in Chile! Communication before the trip was excellent. He was on time both days. He listened to what we asked and delivered exactly what we were looking for. He was knowledgeable, fun to hang out with, and his English was excellent. We could not have asked for a better guide!
