1 Day
Jun - Sep
Presten is one of the best known cliffs in the beautiful Lofoten Archipelago in Norway. This majestic 500m pillar of beautiful granite rises straight up from the emerald waters of the Norwegian sea. Join me and enjoy this must-do 1-day climb by the West Pillar!
The Presten -meaning The Priest-West Pillar is a 12 pitch route and has fantastic rock climbing up to US 5.10/ NO 6/ FR 6a+. It is probably one of the best long free climbs you will ever do, and it is for sure the most famous route in the Lofoten islands.
I will guide you on this great short approach of varied climbing. We will have fun pitch after pitch on a fantastic clean granite wall.
Presten is located just a few minutes from Henningsvær, a small fishing village, taken over by outdoor enthusiasts during summer.
Our starting time depends on weather and conditions. It also depends on the time of the year and number of climbers. It usually takes us about 7 to 10 hours in total including descent. We will meet in the morning and enjoy this fantastic climb in the sun!
I suggest at least a day of climbing before the Presten for a good warm up.
So are you in for this great climb in Lofoten? Send me a request and we will start planning this fantastic adventure. Me or a guide from my team will guide you on this great climb. Please note that I only organize private tours. Unfortunately, I can’t deal with clients looking to join groups. Thank you!
