Description

Explore the stunning Jostedalen and Hurrungane, Norway on this wonderful rock climbing excursion. Follow us for 3 days and we’ll teach you all the necessary techniques and skills to make you a rock climbing pro.

The area of Jostedalen and Hurrungane is one of the best in Norway and has sharp peaks and huge vertical walls. Jostedalen is also a popular spot for outdoor activities such as rafting, hiking, skiing, glacier touring and more.

This introductory trip is perfect for participants with some experience who want to reinforce (or learn) alpine climbing concepts such as rope techniques, safety technology, abseiling and retreat, risk management and others. Additionally, you’ll also gain knowledge in knots, how to plan a multi-pitch trip and its practical techniques, and everything there is to know about rock climbing. Of course, all this while enjoying the stunning Norwegian views.

For this three-day adventure, we recommend participants be in a good physical condition. Also, participants need to be, at least, 17 years old.

Based in Western Norway, near the Sognefjord, our guiding agency has been offering its services since 1987. We are located in the Jostedalen Valley from where we have quick and easy access to the popular Nigardsbreen, an arm of the large Jostedalsbreen glacier.

Originally established by certified guides Steinar Bruheim, Thore Stensberg, Heidi Zimmermann and Arve Tvedt, the agency's staff now includes up to 30 guides in the high season, both in Norway and internationally, all with solid knowledge and experience.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
