As we set off, we will face the challenge of two slopes that test our skills and determination. To the southeast, we will marvel at the towering peaks of Mala Mala, while the northwest offers glimpses of the awe-inspiring Pabellón summit and traces of ancient indigenous civilizations. The second slope will demand our focus, with loose rocks and a climb of 230 meters (754 feet) over 1 kilometer.

After conquering these hurdles, we will witness a captivating transformation in our surroundings. The landscape will transition from low and thorny high grasslands to a lush and enchanting high-altitude forest. The terrain will guide us through gentle slopes and a descent of 900 meters (2,952 feet) over a distance of 10 kilometers (6 miles) towards Anfama refuge.

On our final day, we will descend, encountering a small uphill section leading to the water intake. Along the way, we will cross 8 rivers and traverse a well-marked trail, eventually arriving at the Rio Grande bridge. At the serene destination of El Siambón, we will enjoy the delicious flavors of traditional empanadas at Camping del Rio Grande, cherishing the memories of our remarkable journey.

In terms of the terrain, we will follow a well-marked trail with an elevation gain of approximately 300 meters over 2.5 kilometers for the first slope. The second slope involves loose rocks and an elevation gain of 230 meters over 1 kilometer. From this point onwards, we do not have significant changes in elevation until reaching the refuge.

We will notice this transition a few minutes after starting the hike. In terms of terrain, the first 5 kilometers (alto de la aguada) will be relatively easy, with gentle slopes and practically no elevation gain. From kilometer 6 onwards, until reaching Anfama refuge, we will have a negative elevation gain (descent) of 900 meters over a distance of 10 kilometers.

From this point until the Rio Grande bridge, we have 8 river crossings and a well-marked 4x4 road.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
