Description

I invite you to enjoy four days of exciting outdoor sports in the fantastic setting of the Riviera Ligure. I will take you on an amazing 360º multi-sport adventure trip that includes rock climbing, a via ferrata, a hike through caves and ridges, and canyoning!

Finale Ligure is a medieval walled city located on the northern coast of the Ligurian Sea. With a nice beach, delicious food, and plenty of accomodation options, it is a great holiday climbing destination.

Every day, we will meet in Finalborgo, one of the three urban centers that form Finale Ligure. From there we will set out for our adventure of the day. During these 4 days, we will enjoy the following activities:

  • Rock climbing. Go back to your origins: man is made to climb. Do it safely in a wonderful landscape. You will enjoy a new point of view.

  • Via Ferrata. This is a longer and more alpine route but is made easier by of pegs and cables. A lot of easy climb with wonderful views.

  • Caves and ridges. A very unusual and adventurous hike. Cave hiking, abseiling and climbing in one of the most beautiful valleys of Finale.

  • Canyoning. This activity involves descending streams using alpine techniques. An unforgettable experience due to the exceptional beauty of the gorges where the descent takes place.

You can check out the day-by-day itinerary below! Please note it is also possible to plan in advance an optional day off to rest, at the request of participants. Finale Ligure offers many alternative relaxing activities to fill the rest day, like beach, an interesting ethnographic museum, the Toirano and Verezzi caves, fantastic medieval villages and wonderful walks.

If you find this proposal tempting, just send me a request. Book your trip and join me on this amazing 4-day adventure program in the beautiful Riviera Ligure!  You could also have a look at our profile page to check out other rock climbing and via ferrata trips in Finale Ligure.

Itinerary

Day 1: Rock Climbing

Meeting with the guide at 8.30 am in Finalborgo. After equipment check we move to Boragni (about 20 minutes drive), a small and characteristic group of Mediterranean houses. The Boragni climbing area consists of a large wall and some detached pillars and boulders. The rock is excellent. Vertical slab climbing is the most usual. More than 200 routes and a short access have made this spot one of the most popular in Finale Ligure, with many different routes for beginners.
Route length: from 15 to 30 m
Duration of the activity: 6 hours (approach times excluded)

Day 2: Via Ferrata

Today we meet at 8.00 am (or even earlier in very hot days). From Finale we move to Isallo where the route begins. Half an hour by car. From the parking lot (650 m) we reach the start of the via ferrata. (Half an hour walk) We climb the Ferrata degli Artisti to the summit of Bric Agnellino (1335m). (About 4 hours). From the summit we walk back down to the car. (About 2-hour walk).
We shall be back in Finalborgo around mid-afternoon. In a clear day, you can even enjoy some beautiful views of the Riviera.
During the climb you will go through many breathtaking sections and a spectacular Tibetan bridge.

Day 3: Caves and Ridges

Meeting with the guide at 8.30 am in Finalborgo. From Finale we transfer to Perti Alto where the route begins (10 minutes by car). Panoramic hike from Perti Alto to the upper entrance of the Grotta dell’Edera (the Ivy’s Cave), one of the jewels of Finale Ligure  landscapes (about 30/40 minutes). Adrenalinic and exciting abseil into the Grotta dell’Edera and climb down through the lower part of the cave. Crossing the higher part of the Urta Valley in a typical Mediterranean environment we reach the start of Perti’s North Ridge (about 1 hour). Perti’s North Ridge climb. Easy but aerial multi-pitch route, good climb and very nice views. From the summit of Rocca di Perti the return to the car is made along an easy path.

Day 4: Canyoning

Meeting with the guide at 8.30 am in Finalborgo. From Finale Ligure after 40 minutes/an hour and a half (depending on the chosen route) we reach the starting point of the route.
