This hiking adventure from Colonia Suiza to Pampa Linda takes place at The Nahuel Huapi National Park in Patagonia, Argentina, with Martin, certified guide.

Join me in this hike from Colonia Suiza to Pampa Linda! In my opinion it’s one of the 10 most beautiful and complete trips of Argentina. This is due to its landscapes and the land’s diversity.
During the itinerary we walk across the Patagonian forests full of larch, beech, coihues and cypresses trees. We will also have the luck to admire condors flying.
We can also hike among fun trails along streams as Goye. In addition, we can cross mallines (marshlands) as the valley of Mallin Mate Dulce. Besides, we can border amazing lagoons such as Laguna Negra, Laguna Cab, Laguna Cretón, Laguna Jujuy and Laguna Illon.
Some nights we sleep in mountain huts as Refugio Italia (1650 m). And other nights we will camp.
Before ending the tour, we enjoy the Cerro López viewpoint and cross some hills (as the Black Cerro, Cerro Bailey Willis, Cerro Cab or Cerro Cristal). Then we find Pampa Linda, a green land surrounded by mountains, forest and the majestic Cerro Tronador.
In addition, this hike begins in the picturesque Colonia Suiza, Bariloche.
I am sure you don’t want to miss one of the most complete trips across Patagonian lands.
Please contact me in order to plan your own adventure! You won’t regret it…
We are transferred from San Carlos de Bariloche to Colonia Suiza, our trailhead. From there we start hiking towards Refuge Italia in Laguna Negra, which we reach after 5 hours of trekking. Dinner and rest in the hut.
After breakfast, we walk to Cab Lagoon hiking up and down across the Cerro Negro and Bailey Willis. Dinner and rest in tents on the lakeside.
We leave the campsite to start the hike towards Mallin Mate Dulce across Cerro Cab. Dinner and rest in tents.
In our fourth day we ascend to Cerro Cristal. Once we hike down from there, we find the Creton lake and its natural water wells. Dinner and rest in tents.
We get to Laguna Jujuy by midday. Then, we keep hiking to Illon Lagoon, where we have dinner and rest.
After the descent to Pampa Linda a transfer will be waiting for us in order to take us to Bariloche again, where this adventure comes to an end.
Accommodation is included in the price, except in the city.
Optional services: Porters. Hostel in San Carlos de Bariloche.
General equipment: backpack of 60 L (minimum capacity), PVC 1.5 L bottle, LED flashlight and batteries, sleeping bag, insulating mattress.
Personal equipment: hiking clothes, hiking footwear, waterproof jacket, featherbed jacket, replacement clothes, appropriate footwear for crossing rivers and streams, waterproof gloves (warm), sunglasses with UV 400 mountain side protection, wool hat or similar, sun hat, sunscreen UVA/UVB SPF 40+.
Optional equipment: retractable hiking pole
Climate: Bariloche has high mountain weather with little annual thermal amplitude but a high daily temperature range. Temperatures in summer usually reach to 35°C during the day and can drop to a few degrees below 0. Wetness enters from the west, from the Pacific Ocean, crossing the western mountain range and discharging its waters in the eastern Cordillera. In summer months rainfall can reach between 20 and 30 mm per month. Therefore, climatic conditions are a determining factor of risk in outdoor activities.
AAGM guides: For expeditions of this level, it is essential to have certified guides AAGM (Argentina Association of Mountain Guides).
In San Carlos de Bariloche.
I am a mountain guide certified by the EPGAMT (Provincial School of High Mountain and Trekking guides) since 2009. I am also a certified coach and physical education teacher.
I have guided in mountains such as the Aconcagua, Plata, Vallecitos, Pissis Volcano, Lanin Volcano, Domuyo Volcano. I also guide in traverse of low and high complexity in Nahuel Huapi National Park, and the traverse in Continental Ice (The Chaltén).
As a prefered activity I like to do ski touring. Some excursions are: Tronador Mount, Lanin Volcano, Osorno Volcano and Puntiagudo in Chile, traverse from Frey refuge to Jakob refuge, among others.
What I enjoy most of being a guide is to lead people to discover beautiful and unique places, where you can only arrive with effort and dedication. The mountain allows you to get to know yourself and it also teaches some values that in other environments are difficult to observe.

I had a very good experience booking the hike through Explore-Share. Communication with the team was prompt and clear and the booking process was seamless. The trip itself was also just perfect. Uroš was a fantastic guide, highly skilled and talented. The hike felt safe at all times, even on more exposed routes, thanks to him. He was always up to date on the weather forecast and planned the days around it, checked the conditions on the route ahead of me, if needed, discussed and adapted the routes to my level and always made sure I was safe and comfortable. I highly recommend him, as well as Explore-Share.

Explore Share is a really usefull website that has a great overview of reviewed guides for a (in our case) hiking/climbing trip. During the booking I got assigned an assistent for Explore Share that helped solve questions that I might have. Great customer service, and I will come back again.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned a lot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!

It's the 2nd time we have been booking with Explore-Share. The booking was super easy and both Explore-Share and the guide were fast in their responses. We did rafting as a family with 3 kids for the first time in Slovenia. The guide (José) was super nice. He was doing everything he could to make everyone at ease with rafting (he gave clear explanations), have a great team spirit (we were joined by 2 other girls) and have a good time. We had lots of fun and the nature there is so beautiful. Thank you Explore-share and Soca splash for the great afternoon! I would recommend this activity to anyone without a doubt. My kids immediately told me they want to do rafting again soon !"
