  • Discover wide variety of alpine plants during the trek.

Description

If you want to enjoy Daisetsuzan area but you only have 1 day, this program is for you!

Lying in the center of Hokkaido, Daisetsuzan has the largest primitive natural environment in Japan.

I’ll take you to Kurodake (1,984 m) and Asahidake (the highest mountain on the island of Hokkaido, at 2,291 m). It will be a great hiking experience, enjoying the beautiful landscapes of this area.

The most exciting point of this hiking is its geographic view point. Kurodake and Asahidake are both active volcanoes, so a volcanic crater will welcome you at the peak of each of them. Also, a wide variety of alpine plants will please you during the trekking.

This one of the most popular and my favorite hiking tour in Daisetsuzan. Please contact me if you want to join me!

Jun was a very safe and knowledgeable guide for our one day skiing trip for Yotei. He knew lots about the snowpack and the local wildlife and trees. We felt safe the entire time and really appreciated the pace he went at. Would recommend!

Amazing experience. Took 5hrs to summit. Cloudy and little wind made it easier. Skies opened up 100M from the top. We summited and then we skied fresh powder into the crater. Well worth it.

We had an excellent time hiking up to the summit of Mt Kurodake. Jun gave us a good intro to the flora and fauna on the way up and regaled us with stories all the way up. He set a pace suitable for us and ensured our safety throughout. Jun comes highly recommended!

Jun was an excellent guide! He took us to some fantastic tree skiing on Yotei and we got to do a few laps since the weather did not allow us to summit. We had a really great trip and would highly recommend Jun as a guide.

Jun did an incredible job guiding us through Daisetsuzan National Park. He was attentive, friendly and courteous. His knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and landscape was superb (that rock garden in particular left a deep impression on me). His cooking was superb. And, we felt like we experienced aspects of the Japanese outdoors and Japanese culture that are very hard to reach.
