Description

If you are looking for adventurous winter holidays in Hokkaido, Japan, this trip is the perfect excuse! Specially designed for splitboarding lovers willing to take full advantage of their time, this trip offers a spectacular terrain to splitboard on, and lift assistance.

During the trip you won’t hike much. Instead, you will be able to use the lifting services in order to climb up the mountains and then enjoy great descents. This is a unique opportunity to get to know exciting slopes in one of the most famous Japanese winter destinations.

The trip can be arranged depending on your schedule: it is available on a 1 day basis or up to 7 days. In this opportunity, you will use gondola and lifts at ski resorts and perform splitboarding on powder snow on untracked terrains.

Remember that avalanche safety gears will be needed: shovel, beacon and probe. In case you don’t have these, you may rent them in our store.

Join me in this splitboarding tour in Hokkaido.  Request to book this trip and enjoy Japan’s powder snow! I’ll be glad to guide you through different routes.

If you also love hiking, I offer this same trip without lift assistance. You may want to check out this other program:

What people are saying about Yasuko

Hannah

We had a wonderful trip with Yasuko as our guide. She is very experienced and planned a great trekking tour for us, adapting the route according to our wishes and fitness levels. While hiking, she explained a lot about flora and fauna and answered all our many questions (also regarding the Japanese language). At the huts and campsites, she even prepared breakfast and a delicious meal every evening. Thank you, Yasu, for this wonderful experience and the many things we've learned from you!

Yasuko was an excellent guide. We had an amazing time skiing powder on Mt Yotei

Alexander

Leading up to the initial climbing day in Otaru, there was a lot of flexibility in scheduling to ensure we could climb in good weather. On the originally planned day, it started pouring about an hour into the drive from Sapporo. Thankfully, our guide Yasuko quickly rescheduled to the following day, which turned out to be dry and perfect for climbing! The tour was amazing. We started with some light climbing as a warm-up, then moved on to a beautiful multi-pitch route with incredible views. Although the weather was very hot and humid, we managed to complete two more pitches before wrapping up. Yasuko is an incredibly skilled and experienced guide who knows exactly how to adapt the plan to suit your level and make the most of the day. From the hotel pickup in Sapporo to the climb itself, everything was smooth and well-organized. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to experience outdoor climbing in Hokkaido.

Yasuko provided a great skiing and learning experience. Being from Hokkaido, she was knowledgeable about the terrain and kept me safe. I am looking forward to skiing with her again.
