The midnight sun is a unique phenomenon that can only be experienced in the Arctic Circle and its surroundings. The 24-hour sunlight that bathes northern Norway during the summer creates an ideal setting for long, immersive climbing sessions. Pair that with Lofoten’s dramatic alpine scenery, and you have the perfect environment for a high-energy, skill-building adventure.

The Lofoten Archipelago offers some of the world’s most iconic traditional climbing terrain. Towering granite spires rise from the sea, offering classic routes and breathtaking views. On this 3-day advanced climbing course, I’ll guide you through some of the region’s most celebrated multi-pitch climbs while helping you develop key skills to climb more confidently and autonomously on trad routes.

Each day begins with a quick equipment check and discussion of the objectives for the session. We’ll focus on techniques like advanced gear placements, rope management, anchor building, crack and slab climbing, and risk assessment for multi-pitch terrain. You’ll apply what you learn directly on classic routes around Henningsvær and nearby areas.

This is a private or semi-private course with a maximum of 4 participants to ensure personalized guidance and hands-on learning. All technical gear (nuts, cams, ropes, etc.) is provided, but feel free to bring your own helmet, harness, and climbing shoes if you have them.

To join this course, you should have some previous experience in sport or outdoor climbing and be confident climbing at a moderate level (around 5+/6a). A good fitness level is also important.
