Description

If you are a good piste and off-piste skier willing to try new challenges, then you should come with me for a 1-day ski touring in Logarska Dolina!

Logarska Dolina (also known as Logarska Valley) is an alpine valley in the north of Slovenia. Surrounded by the peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, the place offers great opportunities for ski touring!

We'll start this trip in front of the popular Plesnik hotel and travel to the upper part of the valley.

Then, we'll hike for about 1 hour to Okrešelj Frischauf hut, at 1396 m. This hut is near Rinka waterfall (actually, ice fall), one of the highest in Slovenia.

Afterwards, we'll head towards the border with Austria. We'll be skinning for around 2 hours to Savinjko Pass.

Finally, we'll have a fabulous ski descent under the north faces of Rinkas, with amazing views of the Kamnik-Savinka Alps.

Would you like to have a ski touring experience in Slovenia? Please, contact me for this 1-day of untracked skiing in the Logarska Valley.

If you are seeking a longer ski trip in this area, you should take a look at this 1-week ski touring program in great spots of Slovenia, Italy and Austria.

Mountain Guide

I am a Slovenian IFMGA mountain guide with the ZGVS.
It was when I was 12 years old that I first climbed a mountain myself and by the age of 15 I had started rock climbing.
Since then, my ascents count up to around 1000, starting from Mont Blanc in the seventies and Triglav north face to Cho Oyu, and all over South America including 18 of the 6000m+ peaks including a first ascent on south face of Aconcagua.

I have climbed and travelled all over the world, Shivlinga, K2, Mt Everest, Manaslu, Shishi Panama, El Cap and sport climbing in Kalymnos and Cuba.

Skiing powder in great conditions and rock climbing under the sun are my motto!

Contact me if you'd like to have fun safely in the mountains with me! If I am unavailable then my trusted friend guides, Franc and Milan, can take care of you!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
