Description

We invite anyone with an interest in rock climbing to join us in Joshua Tree National Park, only a couple hours from LA, for an exciting introductory course.

This is a perfect half-day excursion if you have no rock climbing experience or only have experience climbing indoors. You’ll learn how to tie-in to a rope, plus belaying and climbing techniques that will allow you to start off on the right foot as you enter the climbing world.

Our certified instructors create a welcoming environment for beginners. After they demonstrate proper use of the equipment, you’ll partner up with a fellow student for plenty of hands-on experience.

The course takes place in the Joshua Tree National Park, a park known for its many diverse climbing routes and where you can enjoy beautiful desert scenery.

Come on out and learn everything you need to know to get started climbing outdoors. After learning the basic skills and experiencing the thrill of this sport, you might become as obsessed with it as we are!

More info

Remember to bring walking or hiking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, enough water for 4-5 hours, and sun protection. We also recommend bringing a lunch/snack and a day pack.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
