Description

Rock climbing is one of the most fantastic outdoor sports. It allows you to feel the freedom of reaching astonishing heights, with the thrill of strategizing your next step. So it combines mental and physical strength. One of the most amazing places you can practice this wonderful activity is in the Dolomites. And within this magnificent mountain range, the Alvera-Pompanin Route, or Tofana di Rozes in Cortina, is undoubtedly one of the best rock climbing spots.

The route I suggest is maximum V+ UIAA level. And it has a length of 350 meters. Most of its pitches are easy, ranked IV+ UIAA. However, there are many other pitches more suitable for expert climbers looking for a new challenge, ranked V+, 4 difficult.

So, this is one of the most complete routes in Italy. If you are a beginner or intermediate, we can find quiet spots for you to practice. But, as an expert, I will show you the most thrilling places, so you can test your skills. Moreover, this is a private trip. Thus, the itinerary will be specifically crafted for you and your group. Plus, I will gude you exclusively. Therefore I will make sure you are completely safe, and enjoying one of the best trips of your life!

The whole route goes along a splendid ridge of the famous wall of Tofana di Rozes, which is the easiest route on the wall. Also, it is a unique opportunity to reach the shoulder of the wall to get beautiful views of the Cortina Valley, and many mountains around such as Croda da Lago and Averau.

Would you like to come with me on this rock climbing trip? Just send me a request. It would be my pleasure to be your guide on this journey.

Mountain Guide

I started my career as an aerospace engineer, my first passion and then became a full-time IFMGA mountain guide, my second passion, since 2013. Working as a mountain guide gratifies me a lot. I enjoy very much transmitting my knowledge about the mountains and its activities to my friends and clients.

I’m based in the Dolomites where I have climbed most of the mountain surroundings us here, including “Via attraverso il Pesce” in Marmolada and “Captain sky-hook” in Civetta. I also enjoy a lot guiding in the rest of the Alps, ice climbing, ski touring, freeride skiing, rock climbing and mountaineering.

Feel free to contact me if you want to live a great adventure in the Dolomites or anywhere else in the Alps, during the winter or the summer. It will be a great pleasure for me to guide you and allow you to reach your goal. I work with other mountain guides in the Veneto area, such as Filippo, Massimo, and my brother Daniele. If I am unavailable on the date you are interested in coming climbing, skiing, or engaging in other activities with me, I can connect you with one of them.

3 stars Marmolada is due to weatherconditions. Lack of new snow. Enrico found good snow in parts of the glacier. 5 stars to him. Before we went up to the glacier, Enrico took us for a testride offpiste to see if we would be able to ski difficult conditions. Very good.

To be honest we are very disappointed. We signed up for the day of free ride on Marmolada but Enrico wisely said the snow conditions were not conducive for doing that. He offered to do other activities (specifically ski touring) but that is not what we paid for or signed up for, and did not want to do that. Since he offered “alternative activities” it appears we lose 100% of the cost per Explore-Share policy. This is extremely unfair. Enrico seemed like a good guy and probably a very good guide, but I would NOT recommend Explore Share to anyone! Terrible experience for an expensive day.

Geremia was great to have for my first time ice climbing. He went over all the basics and gave me tips on my climbing that really helped out. All of this in a beautiful location! Highly recommended!

Enrico was extremely knowledgeable of the area and was able to put us in great snow despite the lack of snowfall over the past few weeks. Wonderful day!
