Via Ferrata del Formenton in Cortina

Why not joining me for several hours (3 to 5) of climbing on the Via Ferrata of Formenton in the area of Cortina d'Ampezzo in the Dolomites mountain range. 

Formenton is a really nice and easy via ferrata. It's kind of unique because it allows us to see Tofana di Mezzo and Tofana di Dentro (2 mountains higher than 3000 meters) with a beautiful landscape all around the Dolomites, mainly on the north side.

I invite you to a nice hike on a kind of ridge with the via ferrata to help us on the more difficult rock pass. Besides, it is a unique place to see some rest of the first world war.

I usually recommend this via ferrata because :

• The views are breathtaking;

• The terrain is very interesting. In fact, it allow us to walk on a ridge with amazing landscapes on both sides;

• We have the chance to admire to famous peaks of the Dolomites mountain range.

During this trip, we will have a positive altitude gain of 250 meters.
