Description

Feel the profound power of the Iguazu Falls in South America on a day trip to the border of Brazil and Argentina! From the Brazilian city of Foz do Iguacu in the state of Parana, this guided walking tour gives you a full day exploring the trails and paths surrounding the waterfalls while taking in the magnetic appeal of the cascading Iguazu River!

The stunning Iguazu Falls are located at the borders of Brazil and Argentina and are one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Two parks named after the river were designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Sites by both Brazil (1986) and Argentina (1984). The name Iguazu is a Guarani word meaning “big water,” aptly named as the largest waterfall system on Earth.

This is where you come in! Our program will start from Foz do Iguacu, a tourist center dedicated to serving travelers who wish to see the falls, making it a perfect place to begin a trek to the rushing water. Upon entering the Iguazu National Park from the Argentina side, we will head for the falls. There are a number of possible trails, including the Devil’s Throat walking path. This route extends out to an 1,100-meter catwalk above the river.

The Upper Trail (1,750m) offers sweeping views of the captivating scenery surrounding Iguazu Falls. For those who want to feel the immensity of the water, there is the Lower Trail (1,400m) that will place you front and center to the cascades. Most of the “jumps” are on the Argentinian side of the river, so the views from everywhere are immaculate.

We will also view the falls from the Brazilian side, where a 1,200-meter trail takes you to a viewing platform of the Devil’s Throat. Bring a poncho (or buy one along the way) so you can safely and comfortably feel the mist of the rushing water. Complete with a panoramic elevator (as well as a walking path), you will catch every possible angle of the miraculous and photogenic of the glorious cascades. This is the most fulfilling way to take in the entirety of Iguazu Falls.

Once we have sated our hunger for natural beauty and waterscapes, we will head back to Foz do Iguacu and Parana to recap and remember the unbelievable program we have just completed.

Everyone is encouraged to join and there is no experience necessary. A love for the outdoors and an appreciation for nature are all that is needed to have a blast on this walking tour. I will make sure we have a safe, satisfying, and all-around fun time exploring the lush landscape surrounding an iconic landform in South America. You won’t want to miss this trip!

Book your one-day walking tour of the Iguazu Falls NOW and come to the border of Brazil and Argentina to see one of the Seven New Wonders of the World from the accommodating city of Foz do Iguacu in Parana!

We can also head deeper into Brazil and enjoy a trekking program at Chapada dos Veadeiros from Alto Paraiso de Goias!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
