The Aguja Guillaumet guided alpine climbing
Awesome three-day climb of the Aguya de Guillaumet, challenging but incredibly rewarding, especially due to the exceptional views from the top (Fitzroy seemed to be within touching distance!) Thanks for such an excellent trip Merlin, will remember it for ages!

Indio is an awesome guide and all around great guy. The trip up Aguja Guillaumet is absolutely amazing, we took the Comensana-Fonrouge route cause the Amy coluoir was in bad condition. Indio found a two day window of good weather for the climb. He also spent a day climbing in town to go over \"systems\" and gauge my ability. A great trip I will never forget. Can\'t say enough good things about Indio!

The Aguja Guillaumet guided alpine climbing

The Aguja Guillaumet guided alpine climbing
Me and my friend spent 3 days with Merlin and had a fantastic time in Chalten area. He\'s very a very experienced fully certified guide, very strong, flexible and has excellent English. We were lucky with the weather (which can be very unpredictable) and climb Aguja Guillaumet along Fonrouge route. Highly recommended.

The Aguja Guillaumet guided alpine climbing
A big thanks to Merlin for organizing and guiding two unforgettable ascents during my trip to el Chalten! Merlin was very responsive and helpful ahead of the trip, sending me route ideas and answering all sorts of gear questions of a Patagonia novice! During the ascents themselves Merlin was extremely professional, helpful... and great fun! (and he always arranged delicious packed lunches for Day1 :)) I would totally recommend Merlin for any mountaineering ascents in Patagonia, in the Alps or anywhere else! I felt safe at all times and had an unforgettable time!

We went with Merlin to attempt to scale Guillaumet. Merlin was a great guide and was super flexible. We didn\'t make it to the summit because of weather, and so he took us rock climbing around el chalten instead. If I went back, I\'d definitely go with him again.

Indio was an amazing guide! I am safe and sound on the ground now :) He was very knowledgeable about the terrain and weather patterns; he changed plans, urged me to move faster accordingly. He answered all my questions and was really patient with my slowness. As for the climb, it\'s a great intro to Alpine world. I\'m primarily a rock climber, so the ice/snow part was all new. The ice/snow part was strenuous, but doable as a completely newbie, and basically you can be pulled up or lowered if you\'re struggling. Approach was long, rocky, and windy. What a great experience. Highly recommend Indio and the climb!
