Description
Located about 70 km southeast from Paris, Fontainebleau is one of the best bouldering destinations in the world. Join us for 1 or more days and discover this bouldering mecca in France with exciting options for everyone.
Bouldering is a style of rock climbing performed on small and low rock formations known as boulders, without using a rope or harness and falling on a mattress. It is rock climbing in its purest form!
The beautiful Fontainebleau forest boasts an impressive variety of sandstone rock boulders of fantastic quality. It suits all abilities, styles and experience levels. You will find from small and easier boulders for children and beginners to overhangs, slabs or aretes that are more challenging.
This world-class bouldering area attracts climbers from all over the world, with its vast amount of chaos or blocks (few meters high rocks) spread over the forest. Despite being a quite small area, you can spend months here and never climb the same boulder sector twice.
For one or more days, we will take you to several different bouldering areas so you can get a taste of the amazing variety of bouldering problems this beautiful forest has to offer. Whether you are looking to venture into this activity, improve your technique or challenge yourself with a harder bouldering experience, Fontainebleau has something for you.
