This is a 3-hour long program. The guiding fee and the crashpads are included in the price.
Is it possible to rent crash pads in Fontainebleau for climbing independently, either before or after the guided bouldering tour with you?
It is possible to rent crash pads. There are several options available for renting crash pads in the Fontainebleau area. You can find them at the climbing gym called "Karma", at the sports store "S'Cape Fontainebleau", as well as the climbing gym "Le Rempart" in Vert-Saint-Denis.
What are the arrangements or alternatives if the weather forecast is unfavorable?
If the climbing instructor determines the weather conditions are not suitable for safe climbing, we can explore the possibility of rescheduling our day. This alternative will depend on both your availability and ours. Another option could be to go indoor climbing at one of the gyms in Paris or the climbing gym in Fontainebleau, with the understanding that you would be responsible for the entrance fee (both yours and the one for the climbing instructor). If none of these alternatives are feasible for you, a refund will be provided.
What items should I bring with me for our half-day bouldering experience together?
Remember to bring your climbing shoes and wear appropriate attire based on the weather forecast. It's also recommended to bring water and food/snacks for the duration of the bouldering session. The climbing instructor will take care of providing the crash pads and chalk for your climbing experience.
If you don't have climbing shoes with you, no worries! "Karma" climbing gym, located just a short 2-minute drive from the train station, offers rental climbing shoes. We can head there before starting the bouldering session to ensure you have the necessary equipment.
Is the experience accessible and suitable for children?
Children are more than welcome to participate in bouldering activities in Fontainebleau. The climbing instructor will consider their climbing level, ages, and preferences when selecting the boulders they will climb. The climbing instructors from the team have a great passion for instructing kids and ensuring they have an enjoyable experience.
What is the location of the meeting point?
If you choose to arrive by train, we can arrange to meet at either the Fontainebleau-Avon or Bois-le-Roi train stations. These stations are approximately 30 minutes away from Paris' "Gare de Lyon".
Alternatively, if you are arriving by car, we will arrange a meeting point near the bouldering spot. The specific location which will be choosen will take into account factors such as your climbing experience, the objectives you have for the bouldering experience together, weather conditions, temperatures, and whether you have a car.
Is it possible for me to join a group if I am coming alone?
Unfortunately, we do not offer group guided bouldering experiences. Our services are limited to private guided bouldering experiences only.
Can I book a full-day guided bouldering tour instead of a half-day tour?
Certainly! You can find all the details for the day tour at the following link: https://www.explore-share.com/trip/1-day-guided-bouldering-in-fontainebleau-paris/. During the half-day tour, you will be bouldering for approximately 3 hours, while the full-day tour will offer a duration of 6 hours. If you're interested, we can also discuss the possibility of planning a multi-day bouldering tour tailored to your preferences.
What transportation options are available to travel from Paris to Fontainebleau?
If you choose to travel by train, you have two options for stations: "Fontainebleau-Avon" or "Bois-le-Roi." The selection of the station will depend on the specific bouldering area the climbing instructor will choose for your tour. The train ride from Paris Gare de Lyon to either station takes approximately 30 minutes. The climbing instructor will be there to pick you up upon your arrival.
Alternatively, if you prefer to travel by car, it is a more straightforward option as we can arrange a meeting point directly at the designated bouldering spot for your half-day tour.

Good communication and scheduling (including working around some tricky weather). Our guide was great. Would use again. Thanks!
We had an amazing experience with Leo. Not only did he take us to a great bouldering location, but he really helped with technique to use for our future climbs. He was able to accommodate harder climbs for my husband while making sure I was still able to climb as a beginner. It was also extra special climbing with a local. Would recommend!
Our 3 kids (10, 12 and 14yo) had an awesome 3 hour adventure in the forest with an expert and passionate guide who took them from enthusiastic beginners to hooked novices. Leo assessed the kids tolerances perfectly and encouraged them to safely test their limits. Well worth the money as no way this could be done without experienced guide. After 3 hours, the kids were exhausted but woke up this morning asking if we could do it again. Suggest at little of water per head and plenty of snacks!
Leo was incredible. Great communication before the trip, very easy to get along with, super informative. He led a good warm-up and his route selection was exactly what I was looking for given my time constraints, current climbing level, and goals for the day. It was just the right amount of fun & challenge. I loved being able to experience Fontainebleau with Leo as my guide.
Leo was an amazing guide. He helped us set up our transport into Fontainebleau and picked us up from the station. Extremely knowledgeable and skilled climber. Highly recommend a trip with him.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
