Description

Come enjoy Sapporo’s backcountry terrain, and its amazing powder, for one or more days with this off piste snowboarding and splitboarding trip in Hokkaido.

Hokkaido is the northernmost island of Japan. It is famous for having some of the best quality snow in the world! Plus it has majestic mountains with an incredible backcountry terrain to explore. Sapporo is the biggest city of the island and there are lots of spots around it to go searching for the best powder!

That’s why I’ve designed an open program to meet all your expectations! Depending on the snow and weather conditions we’ll decide the best possible option for you.

We can enjoy the backcountry terrain close to one of the many ski resorts in the area, like Sapporo Teine, Sapporo Kokusai, Kiroro, Niseko, Rusutsu, Yubari, Kamui, Furano, Tomamu, Sahoro. Or we can skin up and go splitboarding to find the virgin slopes a bit further away. It will be your choice!

The plan is to ride between 6 and 8 hours a day, for as many days you wish!

So please, send me a request if you want to join me in this amazing off piste snowboarding and splitboarding program in Hokkaido.

Both snowboarders and skiers are welcomed!

We had a brilliant couple of days with Jun. At a difficult time in not the best season for Hokkaido, Jun was able to sniff out unexpected powder stashes and we skied some great snow! Really nice guy as well!

Jun is an outstanding guide, a true expert in his field. He was attentive to our needs and desires and very ably provided us with a fantastic experience skiing in the Asahikawa area backcountry. I will book other trips with him and highly recommend him to others!

Jun did an incredible job guiding us through Daisetsuzan National Park. He was attentive, friendly and courteous. His knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and landscape was superb (that rock garden in particular left a deep impression on me). His cooking was superb. And, we felt like we experienced aspects of the Japanese outdoors and culture that are very hard to reach. Andy and I had a phenomenal time.

Jun was a very safe and knowledgeable guide for our one day skiing trip for Yotei. He knew lots about the snowpack and the local wildlife and trees. We felt safe the entire time and really appreciated the pace he went at. Would recommend!
