Description

Looking for the ultimate Mexican mountaineering adventure? Then this 11-day expedition is for you. Follow us and reach the top of Pico de Orizaba, Iztaccihuatl and La Malinche!

First, we will start by going up La Malinche, the 6th highest mountain in Mexico. At 4,420 m (14,500 ft) above sea level and with very little snow year round, this summit is ideal to begin our acclimatization process. Then, on the following days we’ll enjoy some more acclimatization hikes  before ascending Iztaccihuatl (5,220 m/ 17,130 ft). Also known as Izta or Mujer Dormida (sleeping lady), this volcano is the third highest peak in Mexico. Finally, after reaching the top of these two amazing Mexican volcanoes, we’ll end with Pico de Orizaba, the highest mountain in the country. At 5,610 m (18,400 ft), this striking volcano makes for an excellent first  high altitude experience. For a more detailed description of the trip, take a look at the itinerary below!

We’ll may split this expedition into eleven days in order to reach the top of these three amazing volcanoes in the best possible conditions. However, this program’s length can be reduced according to each participant’s physical condition. Even though no prior mountaineering experience is required it’s essential to be physically fit.

So, does this 11-day expedition in Mexico sound tempting?  Then send your request now and get ready for an experience you’ll never forget!

Everything was great! I did not have much experience hiking (let alone trekking a mountain), but the 3-summits team did a fantastic job of guiding me through everything. I cannot imagine a better experience. Truly an amazing experience.

Trilogy was absolutely fantastic! First of all the experience booking it was great. Alvaro was very helpful in answering all my questions. He planned the time carefully so that I would have enough time to recover between summits and the schedule meant that I managed to acclimatise to the altitude well and get to the top of pico feeling fine which is significantly higher than I have ever gone before in my life. Having seen people suffer altitude sickness at much lower heights this was a concern of mine. Finally the guides were absolutely amazing. Lovely people who are so passionate about the mountains. I went by myself and they are great company. Highly recommend doing trilogy!!!

Great trip - Alvaro and the boys took care of everything for my wife and I during the Trilogy/Triple Peak Trip! Food, transports, tents, gear - all went well. Gustavo, Meesh, Abrahim, Dani, and Oscar were awesome guides and got us there and back. They even helped with a flexible itinerary to help changes in our party's schedule.
