Description

Conquer the 6th highest mountain in Mexico: La Malinche (4,420 m), on this 2-days mountaineering adventure with one of our expert guides.

The route we suggest is famous for its incomparable beauty and easy access. It begins at Las Cabañas del IMSS (3,330 m) where we’ll park. Thereupon our adventure starts, trekking across an enchanting high altitude forest. At about half way through our ascent, the forest will lead us to a low alpine vegetation area. Then, we’ll reach a rocky and sandy terrain, from where we’ll get one of the most privileged sceneries of the country. We’ll enjoy fantastic views of Pico de Orizaba, Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl.

Finally, we will rock climb for a little to reach the summit of La Malinche. And once we get to stand at the top, the vistas we’ll get, will make all of our effort totally worth it. The pictures you’ll get from here will be the envy of everyone you know!

Even though this ascent is easier than the nearby Pico de Orizaba and Iztaccihuatl, it is still a challenging climb. Thus participants must have a good fitness level and a proper acclimatization process. But worry not, one of our expert guides will accompany you all throughout this journey to prevent any hazards, ensuring your fun and safety.

Furthermore, we’ll take care of all the arrangements for accommodation, included in the price, as well as all meals and water while in the mountain. We include the insurance for the summit days. And you won’t have to worry about bringing your technical gear, we provide that too.

Price details

On top of the guide fee the price includes: accommodation, meals and purified water in the mountain, personal technical gear and mountaineering insurance for the summit days. Ground transportation from the airport in Mexico City to La Malinche is optional. And if there is any gear you need, we can arrange renting it for you. Accommodation in the city is not included.
