Description

Let me take you explore some of the best backcountry snowboarding areas of Hokkaido with this Asahikawa guided splitboarding tours.

Japan is known for having some of the best powder in the world. Being an island, it receives the cold wind currents from Siberia that get mixed with the humid air from the Pacific Ocean and make the perfect snow storms that cover its mountains with dry powder.

Asahikawa is located in the northernmost island of the country, Hokkaido. It lies northeast of Sapporo, the biggest city in the island. This amazing snowboarding area is one of the last places that remains devoid of crowds and tourists. So it’s the perfect spot to go looking for amazing powder slopes!

There are endless splitboarding and ski touring options to choose from.

There are some nice ski resorts in the area, like Kamui, Asahidake, Furano, Kurodake and Tokachi-dake, where we’ll go climbing in search of your perfect run.

I can guide you there for one or several days, and I promise you will never get enough of this fantastic winter paradise.

Does such an adventure sound interesting? Then please send me a request to book this Asahikawa guided splitboarding tour and let’s plan your next snowboarding adventure.

We had a brilliant couple of days with Jun. At a difficult time in not the best season for Hokkaido, Jun was able to sniff out unexpected powder stashes and we skied some great snow! Really nice guy as well!

Jun is an outstanding guide, a true expert in his field. He was attentive to our needs and desires and very ably provided us with a fantastic experience skiing in the Asahikawa area backcountry. I will book other trips with him and highly recommend him to others!

Jun did an incredible job guiding us through Daisetsuzan National Park. He was attentive, friendly and courteous. His knowledge of the local flora, fauna, and landscape was superb (that rock garden in particular left a deep impression on me). His cooking was superb. And, we felt like we experienced aspects of the Japanese outdoors and culture that are very hard to reach. Andy and I had a phenomenal time.

Jun was a very safe and knowledgeable guide for our one day skiing trip for Yotei. He knew lots about the snowpack and the local wildlife and trees. We felt safe the entire time and really appreciated the pace he went at. Would recommend!
