Description

Running along Canada's western shoreline, the Coast Range is the perfect place to head for a mid-winter backcountry skiing adventure!

Boasting incredible alpine scenery and (usually) pretty high-quality skiing conditions, there are plenty of excellent spots to explore.

Depending on the weather, we will either fly deep into the Tantalus Mountains for an immersive backcountry experience, or explore the exemplary slopes around Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton.

Either way, you will be privy to some of Canada's most spectacular mountain scenery as well as incredible powder skiing conditions.

Plan A is to fly into the mountains for the immersive experience (of course). Based out of the Jim Haberl Hut, we will  explore the North face of Serratus, a couloir on Alpha and ski the various glaciers right around the hut.

If the weather does not cooperate and we cannot safely fly, then we will simply explore the stunning slopes around Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton.

From each of these three idyllic towns, there is plenty to do. Among the most popular options would be to skin to Keiths hut and ascend either Mount Joffree or Matier.

We would also have the option to check out the Musical Bumps, near Whistler, as well as Sky Pilot and Habrich, from Squamish.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for this incredible fun and diverse backcountry skiing experience in the stunning Coast Range of western British Columbia!

If you like the look of this trip then I think you may also enjoy my ski mountaineering week on Mont Blanc and Monte Rosa over in the Alps!
