Description

The massif of Canaille is one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe, with an elevation of 394 meters. Located in Southern France, on the Mediterranean Sea coast, it offers a unique area for rock climbing. In this trip I want to show you the best routes for beginners and teach you the basic skills or help you to improve them.

Traversée Philémon is a sensational route combining spectacular views and easy climbing. It starts with a 100m abseil which leads to the Cave of 14th of July, a very dark spot that we will have to cross. After that, we will continue climbing beside the Sea, under and over dramatic cliffs.

Another of my favorite routes is Ouvreur de bouse. Its rock and its colors are beautiful, and climbing there is really rewarding. Despite the low height of the wall (90 meters), it is steep and offers a great opportunity to learn to climb.

Cap Canaille is a beautiful ocher-colored mineral landscape. Upon its rocks, you will practice this exciting sport but you will also enjoy an impressive view: the Puget and Marseillevey massifs, and the perfect blue French Mediterranean Sea.

So, if you are ready to get into the exciting world of rock climbing, please contact me! You will learn or improve your skills while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Cap Canaille.

And if you prefer climbing in the classical routes of Les Calanques, take a look at this other trip that I’m offering.
