Highlights

Please, let me invite you to a fantastic Christmas program in Sierra Nevada, an amazing spot of the Alpujarra Region.

The region of Alpujarra is a place full of history and nature. It extends along the amazing provinces of Granada and Almeria, both lying on the Sierra Nevada’s southern slopes.

Sierra Nevada, which means “mountain pasture” in the Arabic language, is the second highest massif of Europe. That is why its average altitude change is about 1.200 meters. This mountain massif forms a natural wall among the Alpujarra and the Granada town.

Therefore, during this trip you can enjoy the warm hospitality of the local people of the forest villages. Besides that, you will also spend a full day in the city of Granada. There we can visit the Moorish Alhambra Palace and delight our palate with the typical “tapas”.

At the end of this description you can find the complete day-by-day itinerary. They will be 5 great days hiking and venturing ourselves in the most historical and natural places.

Available departures: December 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30. Live a different Christmas in Sierra Nevada!

If you want to book your place now or have more questions, please contact me. I will be waiting your message, eager to lead this hiking Christmas experience in the best spots of Granada.

    About the Guide

AEGM and UIMLA guide from Spain.

I'm a mountain lover since I went up to Mulhacén at the age of 14. Since then I've been to mountains all around the world, always looking for new challenges.

I like to share the love I feel for the mountains, and all what I learned out there during all these years.

    Some of my credentials:

    - Certified mountain guide for blind people (UNED foundation)
    - Wilderness Guide (WGA, currently in process)
    - Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA certified)
    - Member of the Spanish Association of Mountain Guides (AEGM) and member of the Union of International Mountain Leaders Association (UIMLA)

Regarding my experience, I've done ascents and trekkings in the Alps, Pyrenees, Atlas range, Andes, Himalayas and Norway. I'm originally from Granada, in Andalucía, so I know in detail the region of Sierra Nevada.
