Description

Definitely one of the most famous peaks in Mexico, the El Nevado de Toluca (4,680m) is a truly stunning mountain. It is also considered the fourth highest peak in all of Mexico.

Located in the State of Mexico, not far from Mexico City, the Nevado de Toluca is quite distinct. Almost always seen with snow on its summit, and with two crater lakes, the top of the volcano is astounding. Furthermore, the views you can enjoy from the top of the peak are incredible.

The route we will be taking to the top of the mountain will go via the famed Paso del Quetzal. Once we reach the pass, you will get to enjoy stunning views of the nearby valleys, as well as the previously mentioned crater lakes.

Despite the enormity of the Nevado de Toluca, reaching its summit is not very difficult. However, you should be in good physical condition, and some prior trekking experience in similar terrain is advantageous.

If you would like to trek to the top of one of the most famous, and beautiful, peaks in Mexico, this is your chance. To join us on this unforgettable expedition, please send a request. We look forwarding to guiding you.

We can also take you to the Pico de Aguila on the Ajusco Volcano on this full-day trip.
