Many cultures around the world worship mountains, and when you ascend a mountain like Jungfrau (4.158 m), you understand why. Come with me on this 2-day ascent to the top of Jungfrau. From its summit you will feel like you have been blessed by its beauty.
Jungfrau means virgin or maiden in German, and it is easy to understand why it has that name: it is covered in a pristine layer of snow that resembles a veil. The peak stands over Grindelwald, and next to Eiger (3.970 m.) and Mönch (4.107 m.).
Allow me to take you on this 2-day trip to show you some of Jungfrau’s most dazzling spots. Your journey will begin in Grindelwald. We’ll take the Jungfrau train to the Jungfraujoch. The famous railroad built more than 100 years ago. From Jungfraujoch, we have just a short walk to the Mönchjoch hut where we’ll spend the night.
As I planned our trip, you will reach Jungfrau’s summit early in the morning. This means that as you reach its top, you will get to see the sunrise and admire everything it unveils. From the summit, you will have an incomparable view of the other two famous peaks in the Jungfrau’s massif, Eiger and Mönch.
Once we complete our ascent, you will see why Jungfrau is one of the favorite climbs in the Swiss Alps.
So if you are interested in this magical journey, please send me a request. I will be more than glad to guide you to the top of Jungfrau. You can also check my 1-day Mönch ascent, another classic climb in the Swiss Alps!

Mountains have been a part of my life since childhood. I started doing more serious mountaineering expeditions at the end of high school after successfully completing all levels of mountain climbing courses. In the last 10 years, I have been at least on one expedition every year. I climbed in Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, the USA, Scotland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, France, Swiss, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Tibet and Nepal.
I completed my training as a mountaineering guide and became a full member of the IFMGA family.
I enjoy climbing both Slovenian and foreign mountains.
Some of my most unforgettable and also the most successful routes:
Tsoboje - Slovenian direct (2021)
Kang Ri - East pillar (2013)
Janak - Blue racer (2012)
K7 West - The dreamers of the golden caves (2011)
The route I climbed on K7 West was rewarded with Piolet d’or recognition for mountaineering achievements in the world.
If you want to climb the north face of Triglav (Slovenia’s highest mountain) or any other walls in Slovenia, please contact me. I also enjoy guiding ski trails in winter in the Julian Alps.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
