Description

Are you a person who wants to get into the world of splitboarding? Or are you a person who has been splitboarding for years, and is excited about doing it in a new place, while also sharpening your skills? No matter which one of those you may be, our backcountry splitboarding tours in beautiful Lake Tahoe have got you covered.

With a gorgeous landscape surrounding you like a hug from nature itself, the Lake Tahoe area during the winter season is absolutely perfect for splitboarding. There is an abundance of amazing areas to choose from in the area. Just a few examples of where you could go include Castle peak and the Donner summit, the Sugar bowl and Squaw valley, and Mount Rose. Each one of these places offers an array of ridges and slopes you can enjoy. And because of the uniqueness of each place, there will be no issue finding the right spot to accommodate whatever skill level you possess.

Along with the excitement of exploring and splitboarding around different locations around Lake Tahoe, there is also an array of skills I will teach you, or help you improve upon, including everything from companion rescue and pre-tour planning to hazards assessment and how to develop a rescue plan. I will also be happy to provide you with several more tips and lessons as well.

This day long splitboarding tour in the backcountry areas around Lake Tahoe is a great mixture of fun, learning, and variety. I know you will have a great time in a great place. If you would like to join me, all you have to do is send me a request. I would be happy to guide you.

I can also lead you on this 3 day splitboarding and mountaineering trip at Mount Shasta as well.
