Join Mihnea, an IFMGA-certified mountain guide, on an exciting 5-day itinerary enjoying some classic climbs in Mont Blanc massif.
Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps and also a large massif with the biggest number of famous climbs in Europe. Do you want to discover some of its main attractions?
Whether it´s rock climbing, mixed climbing or mountaineering, climbers have always been attracted to Mont Blanc, they have opened routes and have written history. In fact, some of these legendary routes are considered a ‘must-do’ for any passionate mountain climber.
On this 5-day programme, I propose to explore some of these classic alpine climbs:
I recommend this trip because it allows you to see other parts of the Mont Blanc massif while having a fun climbing day. Furthermore, there’s a variety of routes and many possibilities to challenge yourself.
If you want to, I can also include some training courses for rock climbing, glacier travel, etc.
You’ll find a tentative itinerary below this description. However, I’ll adapt the activities and locations to your wishes and your experience.
Are you ready to discover ‘the other’ main attractions of Mont Blanc? Send a request for this trip and let’s find the perfect challenge for you!
If climbing Mont Blanc is also on your bucket list, you should check this 5-day programme that includes training, acclimatization and ascent.
Personal equipment recommended: mountaineering boots (+ rock climbing shoes depending on the route), ice axe and crampons, harness and helmet, 30 or 40L backpack, synthetic or wool underwear, warm jacket, GoreTex jacket and pants, hat or beanie, gloves (2 pairs) and goggles. Snacks (on the mountain huts we'll only have breakfast and dinner). Sunscreen and sun glasses, water bottle, personal first aid kit. Cash (many mountain huts don't take credit cards).
Meeting and training/preparation day at Les Gaillands, Servoz or La Joux.
Preparation day for ice and glacier techniques on Mer de Glace.
Traverse of Valle Blanche (Midi to Torino Hut), then sleep at Torino Hut.
I’m an IFMGA mountain guide, a geographer and a passionate alpinist and climber.
I started going in the mountains as a child, at first very close to my home, in the Romanian Carpathians. In these mountains I discovered the passion for outdoor activities and climbing. It was not long until I started discovering other mountains and their challenges and I began building a "mountain climbing lifestyle".
I went in different expeditions around the world and I am always looking for interesting challenges in far away mountain ranges. As often as possible I spend my time in the Alps, training, climbing and enjoying life.
I became a national mountain guide in Romania in 2011. Since then, I love sharing my passion for the mountains and I enjoy taking clients to incredible places. I'm also a volunteer in educational activities to promote the values of authentic alpinism.
I believe in self development and always getting better at what I do, so in 2015 I joined the IFMGA mountain guide training program at EEMGA (East European Mountain Guides Association) and became a fully certified IFMGA mountain guide in 2018.
It will be my pleasure to guide you in any adventure in the mountains.

En flott tur i fin natur. Vi fikk vite mye om isbreens tilstand og vi fikk prøvd både isklatring og via Ferrata. Guiden snakket flytende engels så det var lett å kommunisere. En behagelig og artig tur med litt utfordringer.
My partner and I felt so safe with Mihnea. Mihnea was very professional and listened to how we were feeling during the entire time he was with us. He is very knowledgable about Mounteering. We decided not to attempt the summit due to bad weather a few days before and Mihnea tailored another plan for us which we had a great time doing. Mounteneering was very physically and mentally challenging and I am glad we got to spend time with Mihnea to learn more about techniques so maybe we can practice more and then one day attempt the summit again with Mihnea. This is a great trip!
I spent 3 very exciting days at Balea Lake having very good snow and weather conditions. Accomodation at Paltinu Hotel was good and evenings passed quickly meeting all different type of mountain people :-). Skitours started from Paltinu Hotel (2034m) up to different mountain saddles (ca. 2300m) on skis. Going further to summits was possible but quite challenging as we had to climb in 1m of fresh snow carrying skis on the backpack. Nevertheless we had a lot of fun and Mihnea guided in all situations safely.
Mont Blanc is a beautiful climb, due to a tight schedule a 2 day was the only option for me and while we summited the mountain it felt like we lucked out with a clear weather window. My guide, Mihnea was great! He looked after all the details and offered guidance with my basic mountaineering skills. I would definitely go climbing with him again and would recommend him to anyone!

I might recommend to extend the trip with a couple of more days to make sure the weather dont stop you from reaching the summit, and also to enjoy being in the mountains.
I had a brilliant time on my 2 day climbing ascent of Mont Blanc. The guide was great and I really enjoyed the challenge of the climb aswell as the stunning views and scenery. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is thinking of climbing Mont Blanc and feels they have the fitness and ability to do so in limited time and feels they are able enough for the harder Trois Monts route. It truely was an amazing experience!
Safe and reliable guiding services. Would strongly recommend if you are fit and willing.
Mihnea is an awesome guide. He is very knowledgeable, great company and everything you would want in a guide. If I come back or do another route I will try to get him again for sure. Thank you.
I think mont blanc and Chamonix is an amazing area to learn climbing skills and would recommend it. My guide was very skilled and took all safety precautions where necessary and had great days in the Alps. A couple of points I need to mention, It isn\'t made clear what accommodation is required and therefore was trying to book last minute which I found disrupting. The other thing is what your fee covers isn\'t made clear .I had to pay my guides lift fees which should be included in the fee, so be aware of what\'s covered before you register.
