Would you like to discover one of the best places for hiking near Athens? Then join me on this Parnitha 1-day program and I will show you some of my favorite locations.
Mount Parnitha is located north of Athens and is a stunning, densely forested range in Greece. It is easy to reach and will allow us to experience the lovely Greek wilderness.
We will meet in Pangrati, Athens early in the morning and drive about 45 minutes to the village of Fyli. There we will enjoy a hot cup of coffee in a traditional bakery with a wood-fired oven. After, we will set off on our hike through pine forests. We will enjoy stunning views, come by an old aqueduct, and, if we are lucky, we might catch sight of a tortoise too!
In total, we will spend around 4 hours hiking, and we will cover approximately 8-10km and +500 meters of altitude gain. Finally, we will drive back to Athens in the afternoon. The trails are generally good, and the ascent is not demanding. Therefore, everyone is welcome to join. Furthermore, I will be there every step of the way to ensure that you are comfortable on your way up.
So, are you ready for a fun hiking day near Athens? Then book your place now and join me on this exciting program to Mount Parnitha!
