Description

Gain top notch rock climbing safety instruction on a two or three day guided self-rescue course in Joshua Tree National Park! This immersive program gives you the tools to safely avoid – and get out of – potentially dangerous situations by instilling crucial techniques and applying them practically over the course of the program!

When it comes to high quality rock formations, Joshua Tree National Park in the heart of Southern California is one of the best. Its plentiful outcroppings, inselbergs, and boulders have created a veritable haven for rock climbers of all levels, from multi-pitch veterans to first time scramblers. The park has roughly 790,636 acres of land to explore, including contrasting ecosystems from the desert to mountains.

Your program places you in the middle of this climbing wilderness for an enriching safety program, two or three days full of self-rescue techniques and tools to advance your career. This self-rescue course is designed to give rock climbers the skills necessary to safely and efficiently identify and avoid the hazards of climbing.

You can expect to learn how to ascend ropes, properly apply haul systems, lower techniques, rappelling and abseiling, and lots more. Beginning early on the first day, you have two full days in the park to not only acquire the tools for self-rescue but practically apply them in the immense landscape. If two days aren’t enough, we have a three day option to give you even more time in Joshua Tree.

We are local guides who take pride in safety and satisfaction, so your program will be a compelling blend of fun guidance and valuable information to make you a better climber. By the end of the program, you will be able to climb safely in a variety of locations, even the most immense and remote.

You should have prior rock climbing experience and be able to handle two or three full days of instruction comfortably. The environment is varied but rugged, so an appreciation and understanding of Joshua Tree’s obstacles and objectives is a major asset. You should also be in good shape to participate in this course.

Book this amazing self-rescue course in Joshua Tree National Park NOW and spend two or three days in a beautiful Southern California setting to learn valuable safety skills that last a lifetime!
