Stetind Southeast Ridge, Norway, Guided Rock Climbing

An IFMGA certified mountain guide wants to lead you on a full day rock climbing adventure on the Stetind South East Ridge of Norway.

1 Day

Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep

  • Spend a full day climbing on the amazing Stetind peak in Norway.
  • Challenge yourself on the mountain's southeast ridge.
  • Admire the coastal beauty from the top of Norway's national mountain.

While not nearly as big and tall as other famed peaks in the world, the Stetind mountain (1,392m) in Norway is nonetheless an impressive peak. In fact, as of 2002, it was voted by many local people as the national mountain of Norway. And after one look at its unique and stunning shape it isn’t difficult to see why.

Filled with smooth rock and exciting ridges, the Stetind peak is ideal for rock climbing. That is why I am excited to lead you on this full day climbing adventure on the peak’s southeast ridge.

There are several different routes to choose from when climbing Stetind. All of the routes range from a 5.6 to 5.10 level. Hence giving you a challenging and exciting experience, but not one that is exclusive to expert climbers. And from the ridge, you will be able to gaze out into the sea and see a number of gorgeous coastal peaks.

This trip will begin in the early morning at the foot of the mountain. The exact time will be dictated by weather conditions, the time of year and the number of climbers. From there, we will be climbing from 10 to 14 hours, including the descent.

Due to the arduous nature of rock climbing and the number of hours you will be climbing, participants should be in good physical condition. You should also have some prior climbing experience.

Climbing on Stetind is an unforgettable experience. To enjoy it for a full day, just send me a request.

I can also take you climbing on the amazing Svolvaergetia rock tower in the beautiful Lofoten islands on this trip.

There are comfortable accommodation options not too far from the mountain that I would be happy to recommend to you.

More info

Participants should bring their own small back pack on this route with clothes, water, food, snack and light shoes for the descent.
