Born and raised in Ushuaia, Sebastian is the perfect guide for this trek to Vinciguerra glacier and Tempanos lagoon. Ideal for well-trained hikers looking for a glacial landscape. Join him in this great trek in the heart of the Fuegian mountains.
This trek to Vinciguerra glacier and Tempanos lagoon is a perfect option for those who enjoy longer treks with the reward of reaching a big glacier surrounded by amazing mountains.
The stunning Vinciguerra Glacier offers one of the most famous trails as well as the magic Tempanos lagoon. Among the highlights of this region you will find peatlands, melt-water rivers, sub-antarctic woods and the typical Fuegian mountains.
After crossing the dense forest, we will finally reach Tempanos Lagoon. Once in there, we will enjoy a nice hot drink in order to recover energies. Finally, it’s time to hike back to the starting point.
The round trip will take about 7 walking hours. Therefore, I recommend this trek to intermediate hikers. That means you will need a good physical shape. Furthermore, take into account that the total altitude change will be 663 meters and the distance walked, 12 kilometers.
Finally, I want to tell you this trek is available during all the year! In fact, if you want to come during winter time we’ll use snowshoes during the hike. It will be really fun!!
Mountain Guide, GEM-AAGM Ski Guide, UIMLA, AIARE level 2 from Argentina.
I was born and live in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world! I've been skiing since I was 2 years old, and competed as a ski athlete in a Nordic ski and Biathlon world ski championships, world cups and in the winter Olimpic Games Torino 2006
In 2007 I retired from professional competitions to focus on my guiding career. I trained on rock, ice and mixed climbing skills as well as guiding techniques and became a mountain guide in 2011 at the Argentinean Mountaineering Guides Association (AAGM). In 2017 I completed the guiding courses to become also a certified Ski Mountain Guide GEM-AAGM.
I've done a large number of technical climbs at the Darwin Range and Patagonia while many of those are new lines

The trip was great! Sebastian\'s colleague Ignacio catered it exactly as I have envisioned the trip to be according to my skills and background experience. He was patient and helpful when I struggled in certain moments and he taught me a lot of important safety details on various aspects of the activity, which was what I expected. Overall, a fantastic three days and will definitely return if I have time next year!

Sebastian was a great guide! We felt very safe and it was really fun getting to know him. We liked him so much we decided we would do a second trip while we are in town. If I ever come back to Ushuaia, I will definitely track him down for more trips
