Weissmies – Lagginhorn, Alps, 3 Day Guided Climb

On this 3 day expedition, you will get the chance to climb 2 wonderful mountains in the Swiss Alps: Weissmies (4,017m) and Lagginhorn (4,010m).

Both Weissmies and Lagginhorn present their own set of challenges and great views from their summits.

The trip will begin in the beautiful resort village of Saas Fee (1,670m). From Saas Fee, we will take a scenic hike through the mountains to the Almagellerhutte (2,894m). We will spend the night in the hut, which is very comfortable, and offers some great evening views. On the following day, we will make our ascent to the summit of Weissmies via the south-west ridge. After you’ve enjoyed the views, we will then descend down the north-west face to the Weissmieshutte (2,726m). Like the previous night’s hut, the Weissmieshutte is very comfortable, and will give you ample opportunity to rest and recuperate. Finally, on the last day, we will make our way to the summit of the Lagginhorn via the west ridge, before descending back to Saas Fee.

Both Weissmies and Lagginhorn, while not extremely arduous, are still challenging climbs. As a result, participants on this trip should have previous climbing experience. You should also be in good physical condition as well.
