San Juan is the beautiful and traditional Argentinian city -capital of the province with the same name- that is located in the north west of the country. It’s right on the footsteps of the great Andes mountains, so it has lots of amazing features to enjoy nature.

Because of its warm weather, it’s ideal for winter trekking in the mountains, rock climbing combined with rappeling, and many other outdoor activities.

We can organize this climbing course according to your expectations. Options include sport climbing, single-pitch, multi-pitch, trad climbing or bouldering, or even Self Rescue or whatever you would like to learn.

If it is your first time climbing, I’ve created this mixed program, so that you can have a taste of different activities in one single day.

During this 1 day tour, I’ll pick you up early in the morning in San Juan City and drive 30 kms into the mountains, where we’ll start trekking. We can later go rappelling and enjoy a fun climb during the evening. After an exciting day out, we’ll be back in San Juan at night.

Beginner and Advanced Rock climbing Courses in Zonda, San Juan

**I invite you to a 4-day hiking trip to Cerro Bauchazeta (5200 m). This is a mountain of the Central Andes, lying in the province of San Juan, in the western part of Argentina.**

The starting point of this trip is the city of Bella Vista. Then, after 28 km of driving we are ready for our expedition.

The first part is an 11 kilometer hiking, ascending from 2500 to 3800 meters over sea level. During the trip, we are going to spend the night in two different base camps.

From our last base camp, we have 12 km of trekking to the peak.

Bauchazeta is probably one of the easier 5000 meters where I have been. Its also the one with the best view and landscape, because there’s a nice brook and we are really into the Andes.

**The Ansilta Peaks lie in the heart of the Andes mountains in the Argentine San Juan province**. 7 peaks make up this chain of mountains whose altitudes range between 5116 and 5886 mts. Consequently, **each of these peaks provides numerous trekking routes to discover the beautiful Andean landscapes.** On this 9-day climbing expedition, we will guide you to some of the stunning summits of the Ansiltas!

We will begin with a 6 hour drive from Mendoza to Los Morrillos. Los Morrillos is a beautiful natural reserve in San Juan. Furthermore, it is also an important archeological site with a strong indigenous heritage.  From Los Morillos, on day 2,  we will head to a stream in the mountains called Arroyo Fiero.  Then, after a night of camping out in nature, we will continue up to the Ansilta 3 and 4 base camp. Because we will be steadily ascending up the Andean mountains, we will take a day to acclimatise before attempting the first summit of Ansilta 4. Then, we will take a day to recover from this exhilarating climb. Once we are back on our feet, we will attempt the slightly more demanding summit of Ansilta 3. Finally, we will wrap up our tour by walking back to Los Morrillos and then driving back to Mendoza. 

Because these are challenging ascents, we require a good fitness level. However, we will be there to guide and help you every step of the way, and we also contemplate acclimatisation and rest into our schedule. Furthermore, all the hard work is well worth the effort as we will enjoy a unique experience with stunning landscapes all around us!

After a 5 hour trek that will lead us to an altitude of 3900 mm we will reach the Anstilta Peaks 3 and 4 Base camp. Overnight camping.

We will spend the 4th day of our tour acclimatizing to the altitude.

On day five, we will try a challenging 8 hour ascent to the Ansilta peak 4 summit at 5100 m.

**La Ramada range is a stunning mountain range in the Andes in the San Juan province of Argentina**. It is known both as a mining region and a great area for explorers and adventurers. Additionally, it is also an important paleontology site where fossils of dinosaurs have been found. Because of its stunning landscapes and wildlife it is a beautiful area well worth discovering. **On this Valle del Colorado- La Ramada peak tour, we take you to some of its most breathtaking spots**!

Our trip begins in Mendoza where we meet in order to drive all the way to Santa Ana, our trailhead. From there, we will progressively ascend until we reach Pirca de Polacos. Then, we will take a couple of days to acclimatize and rest. We will also do some short walks in the region where we will get a chance to enjoy the beautiful landscapes.  After we have adapted to the altitude, we will continue on our way up to La Ramada camp 1 where we will rest again and then go on to La Ramada Camp 2. This will be our kick off point to La Ramada summit treks. From there, once we have reached the glorious top, we will begin our return.

Because of the duration and terrain, this ascent requires a good fitness level. However, we will be there every step of the way to guide and assist you.  **With a 3:1 guide ratio you will get personalized attention, in Spanish or English.**  Additionally, we will take time to rest and also have a 20kg. equipment porter. This means that although hard, you will be able to enjoy the climb every step of the way!

Our trip begins with a 210 km Mendoza – Barreal drive. Then, in a in a 4WD vehicle we will head to our trailhead in Santa Ana at an altitude of 2200 m. Overnight at camping.

On day 2, we will kick off our kike with a 2900 m ascent that will take around 6 hours.  Camping at Corredores.

We will continue ascending around 5 hours until we reach Pirca de Polacos at an altitude of 3600 m.

In order to rest, we will spend two days doing short walks to Salto Frio Ice Fall and/or to the bottom of the Mercedario’s South Face.

**La Ramada is a beautiful range of mountains in the Central Andes region. Its tallest peak is the Mercedario that reaches an altitude of 6720 m.** It is a region for explorers that love a challenge and being in wild natural environments with beautiful landscapes! On this 16-day expedition to this unique and remote area in the Andes, I take you to discover some of its glorious mysteries!

We begin our trip with a transfer from Mendoza to either El Molle or Laguna Blanca, depending on road conditions. From then on, we set off on an ascent that will take several days until we reach La Ollada at the top of the Mercedario. Because of the high altitude, we will allow some rest days along the way in order to adapt. This will also give us the chance to enjoy the stunning sceneries and mountain life. After we ascend La Ollada we will return to Laguna Blanca, and from there, we will take on another ascent to another peak of La Ramada. Our trip will end back in Mendoza with a sense of accomplishment and the unforgettable imprint of the Andes in our memories.

As this is a long expedition that will take us high up into the mountains, it is necessary to have a good fitness level. However, you will always have personalized attention, and I will be there to guide you every step of the way. Additionally, we will have fun rest days as we go ascending, and this should make the quest for the summit a demanding but certainly very rewarding experience!
