At 4,506 m, Weisshorn is the 5th highest mountain in the Alps. It is also one of the most difficult to climb, and one of the most beautiful, they say. It boasts 3 ridges that form a pyramidal shape and a white frothy blanket of snow, as well as rocks and glaciers. There are many different routes to its summit, however, the easiest is the east ridge, which is graded AD+. Whichever route you decide to take, going with a certified guide is a must, especially considering the challenges that climbing this breathtaking peak entails.
