If you are lucky enough to secure Dimitris as your guide/ teacher , you have struck gold. He is incredibly experienced, adaptable , good fun and will make sure your trip is unforgettable. Despite challenging snow conditions our trip up Skolio and Skala went smoothly. Dimitris planned the timings and equipment perfectly, as well as being a cheerful chap with buckets of experience and good humour. We had more fitness than we had mountaineering experience which proved to be perfectly balanced with Dimitris' help, we could see how he can probably cater to any level. Don't forget to treat him to a well-deserved goat soup when you get down!5

I can't imagine a better guide than Dimitris. He has been mountaineering and climbing for close to 50 years (he started very young!) and is a wealth of information. I am an intermediate climber and my husband is a beginner. Dimitris picked a crag that catered to both of us - both fun and challenging. I felt very safe with Dimitris, and I felt that my husband was in good hands. On our short hike to the crag, he pointed out different wildflowers and plants, and which were edible or medicinal. Once there, Dimitris asked if he could watch us climb and give beta and tips. We were happy for him to share his knowledge with us. On top of all of this, he is a lovely, kind person. It was a joy to spend time with Dimitris. I hope we can return to Greece and climb with him again.5

You can control many things bar the weather. The weather gods were not on my side, but my guide in Dimitris definitely was. When the storm hit and the refuges closed Dimitris let me know straight away and came up with an alternative adventure. He and I had some communication almost immediately after I booked and he had asked enough questions to know what I might like. We had arranged a private climbing day when I arrived in Athens and had also summited Mount Taygetos in time for the sunrise. I may not have summited Mount Olympus, but the adventure we had will be one that is long in the memory. So much variety of activity of climbing,hiking and walking. He helped me book in to my accommodation when the directions were incorrect - I think I might still be wandering the streets had he not called the hotel. If you are a foody- then his choice of Greek Tavernas and restaurants will have you eating the best food. Dimitris knowledge and enthusiasm of all things mountain shone through our days together. He took me to some amazing places for adventure and food. He is welcoming and engaging and I will be back for a further adventure. 5

My boyfriend and I did this climbing excursion together. It was AMAZING!!! It can't get better than this. The guide, Dimitris was supportive, experienced, and very friendly. We laughed, told stories, and climbed a lot (of course). Made a lot of beautiful and fun memories. 5
We climbed 3 days with Dimitris in Greece - he is a very knowledgeable about the climbing areas and showed us to 3 different crags while we were there. He is a very safe and experienced guide and wants his clients to have a great time while in Greece. He also showed us to some great restaurants in the area as well as coffee shops. I recommend him for your future adventures and look forward to climbing with him again. 5

Dimitris's guiding was excellent. He led my sister and I plus our 3 boys (13, 13 and 12) up the mountain via many varied and beautiful landscapes, doing his best to keep it interesting for the kids and giving many explanations along the way. He took opportunities to get away from the "highway" to experience a quieter side of the mountain. He kept a close eye on motivation levels, energy and safety the whole time. We had a fantastic experience!

Our guide Dimitris was incredible and made this trip a dream come true. His knowledge of the areas and the best climbs was unbelievable . We traveled to Greece during a very hot time and he knew down to a minute what part of the mountain will be in the shade and when. He also went above and beyond showing us best local spots to eat and go for a walk. And besides being an amazing guide Dimitris is a great person, fun and easy going. I would 100 percent recommend booking with him. I know i will:) Already looking .
