Dimitris

Despite challenging snow conditions our trip up Skolio and Skala went smoothly. Dimitris planned the timings and equipment perfectly, as well as being a cheerful chap with buckets of experience and good humour. We had more fitness than we had mountaineering experience which proved to be perfectly balanced with Dimitris' help, we could see how he can probably cater to any level. Don't forget to treat him to a well-deserved goat soup when you get down!

Dimitris was well known around the crag and was a very helpful guide, even advising other climbers nearby. Great day climbing!

I had 2 really great days of climbing with Dimitris. He chose beautiful routes that were appropriate for me and he impressed me with his professionalism, expertise, and safety. Add his climbing stories & interest in listening to mine and they were truly memorable days.

I can't imagine a better guide than Dimitris. He has been mountaineering and climbing for close to 50 years (he started very young!) and is a wealth of information. I am an intermediate climber and my husband is a beginner. Dimitris picked a crag that catered to both of us - both fun and challenging. I felt very safe with Dimitris, and I felt that my husband was in good hands. On our short hike to the crag, he pointed out different wildflowers and plants, and which were edible or medicinal. Once there, Dimitris asked if he could watch us climb and give beta and tips. We were happy for him to share his knowledge with us. On top of all of this, he is a lovely, kind person. It was a joy to spend time with Dimitris. I hope we can return to Greece and climb with him again.
